What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Woo indeed hoo! @SlimLizzy.

So pleased for you.
Here's hoping everything proceeds smoothly.

Thursday's FBG 4.8 mmol/l on waking at 6.00 am.
Thank you @LivingLightly we have so far discovered that the 10 days do not start until both sides have read and signed a preliminary sales agreement. So will be more time than we had initially thought.

Both very attractive houses, @SlimLizzy. Depends on the inside really and the location, of course. By the time he has finished his current project, I don't suppose he'll be wanting to take on another renovation.
Am not quite sure what he is looking for at the moment.

Good morning everyone on a wonderfully quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Far quieter of course than a similar day in 1415 when Henry V started getting all shouty about the service on a grand tour of Northern France. Should we say cobblers to the day? Chiropodist today - my first ever visit to such a person with a ‘dist’ at the end of their descriptor instead of the whole word, distillery. Although, Chiroper Distillery could be the name of someone who appeared on the Eric and Ernie show. Art bit - ink and paper. Hope your day is called Friday and continues to move eastward. Best make some koffy and anoint my feet with socks.
It is my brothers birthday today. I can't count that high!
And it follows the other brothers, having a major historical event on their birth date.

6.9. This frantic Friday.
Drier has arrived. And sorted. And working.
Mrs L complained that her pain was lifted yesterday afternoon and it was quite novel to see Mrs L comfortable.
Mrs L had a short nap, while I did the evening's kitchen duties.
The nap didn't last long as Mrs L sank to a very unusual position of half on, half off and floundering.
I managed to sit her upright. And of course the pain was back.
Just not fair!

I have already posted on the footie thread.
My friend and work colleague from my local footie club. (Another) has died.
He was the club's mascot for around 30years.
I am devastated.
A true friend and supporter.
Have your best Friday.

Best wishes on this autumn day.

Happy Number x birthday for your brother but so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

Thank you for sharing both versions of the wildlife in action and castle. You do love a castle - any, hopefully very happy, story attached or just something that has happened?
Castles @ianpspurs ...you want to know more about castles...
Well ...

Steam trains (& steam train museums) and castles and stone circles, among other things - they were all things we liked to visit. Steam trains we rode on. Stone circles we used to look for. Castles we clambered around. Then when we looked around pet shop aquariums, J used to buy me one of those castle ornaments that the fishes swam around, in memory of the last castle we had seen . ...

That's it....

Castles.......
In greater Britain between around 400 to 500 years there was a castle built every ten years or so.
Then there is the cathedrals is every city, and the big city buildings of immense architecture.
London, the huge building infrastructure of the court, Westminster, the bridges, the ports, the number is astounding, for such a shorty period.
How did they do it?
Just shows how much we aren't building now.

My new fascination is ancient civilisations.
And the structures they have left behind, and still standing.

Thankfully (I hope), that sounds as though the castles have good memories associated with them. I was worried the question would trigger memories you may not want.

Hug for the loss of your friend and Mrs L's pain making a comeback.

I hope the chiropodist visit goes well. Thank you for sharing another wonderful piece of your art.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Having been to see the foot tickler and had a foot version of root canal treatment, I now have a deep well in the dark side of My Left Foot bigger than the roll that Daniel Day Lewis played in a film of the same name. On the bright side, my feet are now all smooth and soft and only 20 years old.

Forgot to post FBG yesterday
It was exactly 4.0 prompting ne to have breakfast.
Today distracted by text discussion with MrSlim forgot entirely until much too late.
We are not exactly in agreement as to type of house, or budget. A little more so on location, but it seems French websites don't allow you to search by town.

Think we have some negotiating to do.

Edited to add:
MrSlims choice needs lots of work and mine none at all.
Oh you need to be a youngster to go about lots of work on a house.

Having to organise a sitter for Mrs L has become a necessity now. And it's as if, I wasn't needed at all despite my anxiety. Mmmm!
I well remember how that felt @Lamont D when I was forced to give up a well-paid, full-time occupation to look after my late mother. Our neighbours were wonderful, but we were worried she would set light to her home, if left to herself.

The hardest part was when she no longer recognised me, the person looking after her, was her daughter.

Friday's FBG 4.9 mmol/l on waking at 6.00 am.
