What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All 7.7 today so firmly embedded in the unlucky 7s. @ChrisT2 on Christmas Day for one day only I have one roastie and a chunk of roasted parsnip on my plate as well as my own stuffing and a couple of spoons of gravy but thats where stretching the rules stops. I don’t have a problem with the sweet stuff. Nuts and cheese always available. Good luck to everyone navigating this Christmas! Have a good Friday everyone and shelter from the shoreline @mojo37. PS obs I do have other traditional food on my plate other than listed above LOL

Same here re sensor .

I have one prepared for my holiday in Thailand early next year . I’m more than happy to prepare my own food here and know what I’m getting but hear wonderful things about Thai food but need to keep a grip

6.4 this morning, glad to still be in the 6s. Thanks for all thoughts of Xmas denials and personal experiences. Totally agree best to say "No" if you can but not easy especially with family. Also it is the temptations of things like supermarket shelves full of chocolates, mince pies, Xmas puddings, drinks, sweets etc that make me feel like Ebenezer Scrooge when I turn the other cheek.
In my childhood money was very tight with parents often struggling with money . Christmas was very much a time to let go after saving all year to enjoy the things that we couldn't normally afford which as you can imagine were certainly not on any low carb diet. Even today those habits are difficult to leave behind as many elder relations have long memories and stubborn bigoted views so have no concept of the need to reign things in diet wise.

Ugg, missed checking before a big beach walk and coffee. We did another walk in the heat before lunch and I tested after the walk…6.7. I honestly thought it would be way higher with the heat and exercise.
no Christmas goodies for me. I don’t find it too hard as sweets don’t make me feel good and I’m allergic to wheat, very convenient! Must admit though that I have, in the past few days, had a Lindt ball or two ( 5 carbs each)….and I did handle them well but it won’t happen often as it just wasn’t worth it….i actually prefer a few nuts if I need a treat.

7.1 again and again for the last week or so. Have and still am, in a great state of extreme stress and my anxiety is through the roof. Can not see it getting any better for a while. Staying in the 7s throughout the day also, so some stability there I guess :banghead:
