What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Afternoon fellow passengers on this the 3rd rock from the sun.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.8 and yesterday 6.5 .

So far, today, I have been to Selco the builders merchants, then Tesco’s and visited the toilets in each establishment, this is the benefits of being on water tablets or pass toilets at your peril, pills.

Now I must dash or splash, you choose.

Stay safe all.

7.5 at 04.20 today.

Quite right, @Krystyna23040, a conservatory roof is no place for Mr K. Professionals have the knowledge and the tools to do the job and £100 is pretty reasonable.

When we need jobs done on the roof, Neil and Alistair do go up and do them but they are younger and have been doing these jobs for years, on solid roofs. Tom used to take them up on our, fairly shallow, roof when they were fairly young to get them used to heights. He also used to take them up the masts of ships we were all on, when they were 10 and 12. The idea was to let them know that heights were nothing to be afraid of. The time will come when they are getting past it too and I hope they have the sense to stop when they are less able. Both still in their 50's as yet, so they should still be able for a few years yet, although I'm not so sure about Alistair, he already has some arthritic problems.
Yes, you are right @Annb - professionals do have the tools to do the job. Good that Tom got Neil and Alistair used to heights.

6.5 at 03.20 today.

Cloudy but still fairly bright today. Shan't be doing much today - still feeling the effects of going out on Thursday. Muscle pains after tiny bit of exercise (making my way down the ramp to the car and up again when we got back from town) meant I could barely move yesterday but I'm hoping to be able to move a bit better today.

5.5 this morning.

We got the quote from the small family firm for the solar panel clean and Mr K seems much happier for them to do it. They are so busy that the earliest they can do it is June - which is no problem.

Beautiful sunny morning. Off to classes shortly - in Norwich.

Good morning everyone on what promises to be at least a 10 degrees of wrapping up warm in the breeze sort of day today.
5.7 this a.m. Nearly as unpredictable as Sporadic E propagation.
No idea about today - Mrs Miggins will probably pack a back in readiness for our trip on Monday. I shall wait until tomorrow - it’s a five minute job.
Not enthusiastic just yet with my lates read - The Book Of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult. Mind you, I’m only on page 72 so maybe it’s just a bit slow to pick up.
I have heard rumours of shopping at some point this weekend and am reminded of a line in the film Fight Club; “We buy things we don’t need, to impress people we don’t like.” Best keep my head down and my hands in my pockets. Better still, stay at home and practice my procrastination.
Art bit - just paint by numbers on the one from yesterday.
Hope your day goes well. I best make koffy and get along.

I had a 'senior moment ' today :) :):).
We raced back from the Norwich classes this afternoon. I locked up and had the keys to the hall in my hand and one of my favourite Rohan hats.

Got home. Picked up the keys but couldn't find my hat. Gave up looking for it and went indoors. Must of dropped it when I got into the car.

When I got indoors I realised that it was on my head. I had put it on because the sun was in my eyes but had totally forgotten that I had. How silly was that :):):)

That is a lovely selection of colours to add to the Art of yesterday @dunelm

6.5 at 04.20 today. 1 cup of tea and 2 cups of coffee so far. BG in the 8's now.

Bright sunshine at the moment. Don't know if that will last for long.

Neil has put up my shelves but is oiling them with boiled linseed oil rather than painting or varnishing them. 3 coats of oil so far but he wants to put at least one more on. Lovely smell of linseed oil in the kitchen.
