What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

6.9 this morning.

A bit naughty last night with a bit too much 85% chocolate while relaxing and watching TzV. It was lovely though.

Today is Bonnie's first visit to Sheringham Park. Am so looking forward to it. At last she can walk far enough to make it worthwhile as she is almost 5 months old - which is 25 minutes of walking.

Good morning everyone on a splendidly sunny start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.8 this a.m.
Up in the middle of the night but at what time? Furtively crawled back to bed and stacked another pile of Z’s.
Two mechanical clocks patiently waiting to be adjusted. I said the magic words written down by W H Auden in the voice of Tom Baker and made the adjustments. All electronic devices containing time tellers had smugly jumped forward in time at the appointed hour, indicated by a reenactment of The Time Warp by Richard O’Brien out there in the multiverse. That, apart from our probably vintage microwave but we have ignored the clock on that ever since the incident with the egg. Don’t believe anything seen on social meeja platforms - leave all that experimental cookery to Heston.
I wonder if clocks in our cars have made the leap? Only time will tell.
Happy Mothers Day to those who are and even those who think that they are or even may be, Mothers. Difficult to tell in some quarters knowadays. I did have a chat with my mother this morning - she said the day felt strangely the same as any other day except for price increases in cards, flowers and restaurant reservations. Oh well, at least those in service under stairs can go home for the day and see their mothers.
Art bit - another ink pen doodle.
Hope your day contains a smile or two rather than a wince. Whatever time you think it is, the koffy remains constant so I will go and have some.

Fbg six point nine this morning now after foolishly consuming small bowl of cereal ten point five.
One of my latest DNA matches on ancestry a third cousin in the USA it turns out her father was a guy called Clint Houston who was a jazz musician and played the double bass he had worked with various artists one being Nina Simone I am at the moment listening to one of his albums via Alexa and Amazon music.

Good morning all from a sunny L.A. which is best enjoyed under several hundred layers of clothing. Clock change and Mothering Sunday, too much excitement for one day. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you sharing your creative talents, some wonderful pieces this week. @Krystyna23040 good news that Bonnie can now walk for a reasonable time. Do check your head for hats today or there may be a remake of twin peaks. @Annb the smell of boiled linseed oil reminds me of the old days of oiling and knocking in cricket bats. You have all done very well. Take care.

I like this one with the reflections very much @dunelm

Good afternoon fellow posters and painters. If you remember yesterday, you must be young…..

Blood sugars this morning were 5.0

Now what follows is what happened at a recent Urology medical consultation.

“”
At a recent medical consultation for her husband ( Alf Josiah ), Mrs J who always insists on attending her husband’s appointments was asked by the hospital consultant as to how she thought her husband was.

What follows was her reply

“ I find him technologically incontinent “
The consultants reply was thus
“ Do you not mean technologically incompetent? “

Mrs J “ No, if I ask him anything to do with technology of any sort he has to go and change his underwear “

Consultant “ I see “ , Mrs J “ I hope not !!! “”

The rest of the consultation was cancelled, the consultant rushing out shouting “ follow up in 3 months “ as he disappeared into the toilets.

Stay safe all.

We had a lovely walk in Sheringham Park @ianpspurs. I did check my head for hats. I didn't do a remake of twin peaks :)

Well folks I am now on 2 lots of antibiotics for various things. Both have to be taken with food. My 4 lots of diabetic medications also have to be taken with food. Unfortunately none of the times coincide so I am having to eat several times/ day more than usual which is not good for my blood sugar control! Not to mention indigestion.:arghh: LOL Fortunately it is only for 5 days. The stitches from my 2 biopsies have now been removed. One wound has healed well but the one on top of my foot is taking longer and is very painful, especially when walking. This does not bode well for our Golden Anniversary break later this week. One day at a time! Sorry-no fbs today. It is likely to be high until I can get back to some sort of normality anyway. My best wishes to you all for the week ahead. :)

Hope your foot is much less painful very soon @dogslife

5.8 this morning.
An easier day today as I have a good long break.
It was so nice to go to one of our favourite places yesterday. It has felt a bit like being under house arrest on Sundays since Bonnie arrived - but now that Bonnie can walk further we are now free. Hooray!!!

Are the clocks being played around with, causing problems? They are here.

Now it is time to go, said Zebedee and I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon. It is cheese. Wensleydale.

Thank you@Krystyna. 2340. I have been to see the practice nurse this morning. She has applied a medicated dressing and made an appointment on Wednesday to check it again. She reckons it will take a while to heal due to diabetes and my age! So I've just got to be a patient patient I guess. :)
