10.5 again.

That's 6 days out of 7 being between 10.5-11, no matter what/ when I eat before bed, or how much sleep I get.

Hope the Co-op bank thing sorts itself out without further complications - I use them too.

6.8 this morning.

Had a huge heap of admin to do but feel really great as I have completed it. My desk is so tidy. So good that today was a bank holiday and no classes - so I could get up to date..

This week is a much quieter week without too many 1:1s - so I won't get so tired and admin will stay up to date.

Good morning everyone on what just might be a sun shiny day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.6 this a.m.
Painting - Mrs Miggins has been glossing all things that volunteered to be glossed yesterday. Even with so called odourless paint windows were opened and connecting doors firmly shut. I stayed at the back of the house and experimented on how much water some scraps of cheep watercolour paper could take. Anyhow, not too bad - my emphysema kicks off worse than that walking past those nasty perfume counters in department stores or larger branches of Boots. All to be avoided if possible.
So, art bit - wet on so much wet I wonder the paper survived.
Hope your day goes well. I am going to have koffee and then get out in the sunshine.

BG still too high overnight and still now. 12.2 at 04.00 and 12.1 now. And this time, I did take my basal insulin. Also took a fairly big dose of bolus insulin before having a 2 egg omelette. We'll see how that goes in the next hour.

Chilly and a kind of bright grey, but fairly still outside today.

Good morning all. Since stopping my Gapagliflozin I have been monitoring my blood sugars mainly in the range of 9's and 10's but the unpleasant symptoms have completely disappeared. Had my first of 2 diabetic appointments this morning for the usual feet check, weight etc and a blood test for numerous things, not incuding HbA1c as that was taken a few weeks ago. (59). The nurse had a trainee nurse with her and asked if I minded her taking my bloods. I agreed as someone has to help her to gain experience. She had been trained but never done an actual blood draw before. She tried several times unsuccessfully, bless, and then the nurse took over, tried but to no avail so an appointment has been made for the day after tomorrow with a phlebotomist. My arm is now all the colours of the rainbow so I hope it has healed enough for the next blood test. I then have the second of my diabetes appointments the following day when I can discuss the situation about my medication and receive advice on my diet, exercise etc. Due to the biopsy wound on my foot I have not been able to take part in my usual walking group for several weeks so I am hoping once I can resume that it may help with my sugar levels. Best wishes to you all whatever you are doing and wherever you are planning to go. :)

Down a bit to the 10's earlier and now down to 9.5. Still higher than I want it. Could this be that the nurse asked me to reduce my Metformin to one 500mg tablet, I wonder.

I have the same problem. When they can find a reasonable vein, it tends to get over-used and then shuts down and the bruising job of hunting for a new site leaves me covered in plasters and colourful patterns. Best wishes for you being able to resume walking with your group.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and also those who enjoyed not only but also as well.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.3

I went to the GP’s this morning for a couple of routine blood tests. Warfarin and PSA.
or so I thought.
The powers that be sprang a few other blood tests on me, some serious, some not so serious.

Then this afternoon I had a phone call from one of the practices GP’s concerning my pain relief medication, this particular GP I call Dr Death and usually avoid them, but on this occasion we parted laughing. Oh the stories I could tell, but won’t.

Now it is time for my post mid afternoon nap.
Did you bark at the postman today, well it was my turn.

Fbg 6.4

A quick sketch from memory - last night, just as the light was fading, I saw a blackbird feeding her fledgling almost at my feet. The young bird was almost as big as mum. Midnight sat beside me on the swing and we both watched.

I haven’t used this app in a while. It’s not a perfect picture, but gives an impression of what I saw...

Night night from me, today was too hot, and I didn't get much done. I mostly napped during the day.....

Smashing sketch with all that movement. Our resident pair of blackbirds follow us round the garden, especially if there is watering going on to soften the ground. Downside is that they then insist on digging up and throwing mulch about and sometimes uproot bulbs. What fun!

Good morning everyone on another day in paradise here in the dark and dangerous north.

Wall are being distempered - something with a fancy name no doubt like Smoked Trout, Careless Whispers or Arsenic which either confuses potential buyers or makes them feel dead posh. I have used a roller in the past and even know what “cutting in” means in painting and decorating speak (not to be confused with activities at Saturday night dances) but it keeps Mrs Miggins occupied and distracted from her awful wrestles leg syndrome.
Art bit - more wet on what was probably monsooned paper.
Hope you make your day a good one. I suppose if you want to have a good day you just have to do good things and one of my good thing is making some koffy.
