I recieved a dexcom one sensor as part of a trial, I attatched it to the underside of my arm. The app threw up an error and told me to remove the sensor which I did. However when I looked at the sensor I notices the wire had broke off and wasnt on the table where i was sitting.
Has this happened to anyone else? I do have an appointment at urgent care in the morning just to see if the wire is still in my arm.
Take care all.
I had problems with my Dexcom One+ triaI. I attached the sensor on my stomach just to the left of belly button and up a bit (carefully following instructions). My first reading came through as 2.3 and then settled into a succession of readings of 2 - so something obviously wrong. After about 15 hours it stopped sending readings and I got an error message telling me to remove sensor.
When I looked at the sensor there was no needle sticking out of the sensor like there always is with a libre. There was a bit of blood on the sensor and looking down the hole in the centre of the sensor there was a bit of bent wire that looked like the end of a paper clip. There was no mark on my skin.
I reported this in a detailed email to Dexcom and have had no response at all from them! I had told them that I was going to report my Dexcom One+ trial findings to my local Coventry Diabetes UK meeting so I am a bit surprised they didn’t get back with an offer of a replacement trial sensor.
Maybe I will buy a new sensor as I am specially interested in testing how effective calibration is.
