Creative is a photo of some of the roses that totally surround the bungalow....I am floating on heavenly scent...

Loads of bumble bees... there is a plant called Mallow which has just started coming out, outside my open window, and the bees completely cover it. The bees come in to say hi and then they fly out again.

In the meantime, the courtship between the female cellar spider and the male cellar spider is absolutely fascinating... I can be watching them for half an hour each time I go in the bathroom... they get closer and closer bit by bit, and then the male cellar spider makes the first move. He reaches out towards the female spider. The female spider initially recoils. Then He reaches out again, and She reaches out...and He strokes her longest extended leg, so tenderly. And she gives a very short abrupt leg stroke to hem... and so this goes on. They got so close the first time I saw it happen, that my mind said she's going to eat him... and so I left the bathroom. But surprise surprise when I returned, they were both still there...now I don't think she is going to eat him, I can watch for half an hour at a time!!!! It is actually beautiful to watch them.

Don't ask me for the individual names of their body parts or the proper names for their legs, I'd probably get in a tongue twister with that...

I did consider photographing them, but I thought you might like my roses better.... they are so skinny and delicate that they are just about impossible photograph with my phone but I am still trying...

Hot and still and muggy here. It was raining earlier....

Have a good day.

Thank you for the splendid array of roses. Spiders are fascinating, the jumping ones even more so.

@gennepher thank you for sharing the photograph and story of the courtship rituals of those spiders. Probably best not to share the photos of that as spider porn is a very niche sub-genre of the Dark Manosphere. @dunelm thank you for sharing the splendid trees. @Lamont D good to update us, interesting comment from the specialist on Mrs L's meds. Y'all enjoy Thursday, it is v v cold here.
Thank you @ianpspurs - v v windy here but far too north to use ver ver.

Good morning everyone on an all things dull yet beautiful start to this 80th anniversary of D Day here in the dark and dangerous north. Something is rotten in the state of DC. Trump, Musk, Epstein-Barr; a wire brush and a bottle of Detol needed perhaps?
5.8 this a.m.
Number one on today’s agenda was wishing our only grandson many happy returns on his 16th birthday. Special treat will be a 3 hour English paper - one of the 24 papers in his GCSE schedule and focused entirely upon achieving the required results for his conditional offer on an engineering apprenticeship.
Art bit - acrylic inks. Mainly doing their own thing and then a bit of teasing and tidying up.
Hope your day is a good one. The other day may have been great but today is the important one so best make the most of this koffy.

Thank you for sharing the usual accomplished artwork. Happy birthday to your grandson and best wishes for the results he needs. Exam season is stressful for students, parents and grandparents.

Good luck to your grandson. I know its knowledge that is needed, but luck comes into it too, when the questions are set.

Happy birthday to your grandson and doing his exams. I too have grandkids doing exams.
My eldest brother was born on D-Day. Would have been 81 today.

it is a horrible June day today much like early June in 1944. Lots of rain and windy. And cold for the time of year.
it's still throwing it down now!

Mrs L is not the best. If , Mrs L does not perk up, I may have to get an ambulance.
I am really worried. Having an afternoon nap now, so I can do some housework, cook something for later.
That is if, Mrs L wants to eat. A couple of her favourite cakes in the fridge, from when I went out earlier.

More phone calls from different health people. Never felt so health care necessary since I was diagnosed and in hospital. I do feel at last as if there is a care system out there.
Thank you NHS. My two DiL s are so busy on the frontline.
There is no doubt, too much is still to be done. But there seems to be a big change since in the last year.

Can't get in garden.

My best wishes.

Same as yesterday.
New Hba1c results delivered by email on the evening of the test.
Hba1c is now 46.
Was expecting a higher number this time after several months of ignoring the prediabetes. Now time to make an effort to move my diet further towards LC.
The HH is here and has stripped wallpaper, washed and repainted the ceiling in the kitchen, while MrSlim cut holes and strung wires for the many spotlights to ensure a north facing room is well lit. Today however the link between the light switch and the consumer unit has been found to be incorrectly wired. MrSlim is checking and then taking out old wires where the live wire is blue and does not pass through the fuse. Even more unfortunate the cupboard housing the consumer unit and electricity meter has been built on top of a junction box, which is now impossible to access.
Having finished the kitchen ceiling HH has been tasked with wire brushing the rust spotted shutters. Part of MrSlims campaign to improve the facade. Nice for other people but not any more comfortable for us, so irrelevant at this time, in my opinion. Although there is a case for stabilising the rust.

6.3 this morning.
Yesterday's evening classes went well. I was very careful and didn't overdo it.
So let much improved today. 3 classes this evening - and I will continue to go carefully.

We had our solar panels cleaned today. We were so pleased with the person who cleaned then that we have asked him to become our window cleaner. Mr K is so busy that it will be good for him to hand over that job to someone else.

Hopefully a bit of wiring correction will solve the lighting issue but I feel your Pain about that currently inaccessible junction box. Does your Mairie dictate what colour your shutters and doors need to be?

Trying since early to get in though ...
Finally...
Virtually no sleep last night. Each time I fell asleep I thought I'd slept the whole night. I only managed a couple of hours.

Fun games at the pharmacist. They have had my prescription a week and a half ago and still have not made it up. I got told off by the counter lady, who insisted I was being impatient and that they needed time to make up the prescriptions. I was very polite... I said I had no way of knowing the status of my medicines and them, unless I turned up and asked.

Anyway, it turned out that the medicine dispenser bot had broken down so there was nothing they could do about dispensing medicines... then 9 noticed I had a half made up carrier bag of medicines to my name. Turned out the bot had broken down halfway through dispensing my medicines... but there's no way they can do anything about the other half today. I said fine, I'll take the those. No, you can't said the counter assistant they still have to be checked by the pharmacist, come back in an hour.

And so I said I would go to the café next door and wait. Can you text me when they are ready? No, we can't, she said we've lost your phone number. We've had some new software put in we haven't got a clue how to operate it.....

Would it help if I gave you my phone number I said... and then I said, could you text me when it is ready and I will be waiting in the café next door.

No text arrived, and so I made my way back to the pharmacy... I've been shouting and shouting your name said the pharmacist...

I am deaf, I replied pointing to my badge and lanyard, I cannot even hear you shouting my name when I am in this pharmacy, let alone in the café next door...and I did say I was waiting there since there are no chairs in here.

Pharmacist muttered at me... and gave me my half bag of medicine and said I would have to go back next week for the rest...

When I went into the car wash, there was only one man washing... so that meant an interminable wait at the car wash. I had to abandon most of my shopping because I was tired and I needed the bathroom by now....

I've got back at 1:30 pm and I have been asleep since... but now I have woken up. I am too tired to go back to sleep again....

Creative is a photograph of my roses again, but this photograph is from my pixel phone which I think photographs the roses better...

Going to have another nap if I can...

Hope you are having a good day...

Creative is the rose taken in the Pixel phone...
