What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 today. It’s a rainy and cool day today, rather nice after the hot and dry last few days.
Blood sugar still higher than I’d like after the gym. I did some treadmill, stairclimber and upper body weights today. Then I walked through Costco before lunch. Measured glucose at 6.6 before I ate. Breakfast was a grass fed sugar free beef stick and coffee with butter.

For weeks my BG has been in the low 5s, not done every day but on average 2-3 mornings a week just to check.
This morning is 7.5! But I’ve just been diagnosed with shingles……in my big toe of all places and the rash is creeping up my foot. :( My foot, ankle and lower leg are very swollen so am I correct in thinking the inflammation is causing the rise in my BG reading? Very low carbs still being consumed. And I’m feeling sorry for myself!

I find any infection causes my BG to rise.
