What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

fingerprick 5.2 libre thinks 3.6 first 24hours can be weird. Went mainland yesterday intention grabbing a few things from couple stores wow at queues for some of them Primark and boots both were chaos. Will try again later through the week when hopefully quieter. Did get a couple things from other places. next couple of days won't need to cook lunch from scratch picked up a few of m&s tamarind dal curry which is tasty 25g carbs just last year would of had some naan bread with it, not anymore, by itself will do

Not that weird tbh some have to inject for protein. Energy approx (based on Tesco's back bacon) 2 rashers (60g) 115kJ 10.4g Egg medium 318kJ 7.3g protein . Couple others inject if latte by itself (that to me makes sense lactose in milk). Mik approx 5g carbs 3.5g protein per 100ml
 
I only find it weird because when I eat exactly same meal at home I get almost no noticeable rise in BS other than usual slow but sure daily trend.
However out here when I try to duplicate same low carb meal my BS goes through the roof. I suspect they must cook things in some well carby oil or something. It just goes to show how difficult to manage things when out and about and not in control of cooking or preparation.

omlette when i make those at home i use a lot less wholemilk when have same outside (their much more wet) perhaps its the milk content or maybe even instead of cream/wholemilk indeed semiskimmed? i also love to add a little bit of grated cheese so fat content perhaps higher slowing digestion further?

The main reason I haven’t eaten outside in more than fifteen years is, my BS goes through the roof also.
 
7.4 this morning but not surprised as I couldn't sleep, but I was tired so basically overtired. Also woke with a blood shot eye, could see out of it but just something else to keep me on my toes! Eye is back to normal now as I write this, would have been great for Halloween :banghead:

6.3 today…what a struggle. I am very low carb, don’t eat after 5, exercise a ton and still….but I do know type 3c is different, sometimes it’s just frustrating.
Gym was lower body weights and a nice walk and chat with a gym buddy. More shopping, at least Costco wasn’t too crazy. It’s very close to my house, I could walk, and going at night is quieter but hubby needed his prescription. I came home with a whole lot of cheese. I love cheese. it was on sale and will last in the fridge for quite some time. Or not…
The Kirkland brand seven year aged cheddar…it is so good…and it seems they only stock it here for the holidays.
 
A rather unhealthy 8.0 to kick off the day but not unexpected. Only a few more days of "bad" living to go and I am dreading going home to the zero temperatures back home. I will have to swap the sun cream and shorts for fleeces and long trousers. Even worse de-icing the car which is something that truly sets the scene for winter. Sadly all good things have to come to an end

When we’ve been abroad omelettes are made with powdered eggs, better off sticking to fried eggs, worth trying
 
libre 4.6 presume its a little higher. fingerprick middle of the night as 4.4 when libre thought 3.1

breakfast school run off out a short walk brr. sort of looking forward to the weekend off to london for a few days, hoping train journey goes nice n smooth still trying to work out where i'm going to park the car in glasgow before boarding the train. couple of xmas markets on cards alongside evening at the theatre possibly a couple of the other touristry spots. Never visited london other than a straight pass through anyone got any recremmendations? leicester square/camben marks. not too sure what else will do except avoid the street food :)

Strange because I've been sort of fasting since 1900 on Sunday till now had a small cold chicken leg about 1500 Monday ..
6.5 just before and 6.5 about midnight.
I'll continue for as long as I feel like it today

Is the body protesting about lack of carbs perhaps?
Black coffee at the moment watching the frost disappear from the roof opposite mine ..
But it is a bit nippy out there!

i recall hospitals used to use powdered eggs wonder if they still do was something to do with keeps better alongside a lot less prep for safety doesnt need to be cooked as well or something like that
