What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Also late on parade, hope jankers(?) isn't the punishment!
7.2, but up half the night, simply because Mrs L wanted to be up and about then.
Lots of washing clothes and bed linen, and usual chores to do on a Thursday that was as usual busy.
The freezer was at last taken away. The carer was late. Much late.
I had my last session of my fourth bout of counselling. I did get quite a lot out of it. But it didn't really ease my anxiety about the present and of course the future. Especially of how I can cope with Mrs L.
Without doing more damage mentally and physically to myself.
I'm tired and I'm watching the arrows and wasps.
Goodnight all.
Just thought, that is a great name for a pub. If one exists any more!
Best wishes.

Fbg 6.8 for thursday

Kaleidoscope
I thought things could improve today, but I am no further ahead than yesterday and I need to bring something else into this. I will explain properly but I have no time at all at the moment. I have had no time to do my tidying for about two or three weeks now . I am falling behind on everything. ...

I had...

No idea what I had....
I fell into a deep sleep and never posted this...

Painkillers didn't help. It's been a bad night. Poor Neil has had to come and lift me out of the chair a few times (toilet won't come to me for some inexplicable reason). I don't dare eat anything or even drink much. It's more painful than I thought it could be and much more debilitating. Hands are still working, if painfully, but the shoulders aren't co-operating. Neil says I need a riser/recliner chair whereas mine is only a recliner. Don't think I can afford that though.

Sorry - still in moaning mode.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Instead of posting my blood sugars, I might drink proper cafetière koffy. Yep koffy made and poured out, only 1/2 a mug.
@gennepher I found your posting funny, falling asleep is my trick also. Now I must go and drink my koffy before I fall asleep and wake up to cold koffy again ‍

This afternoon I have to darken the dressing nurses door, they always know its me, because I knock 3 times and ask for Cecil.

Be good all, somebody has to, I’m not ‍

Drat fell asleep again.

And a real nice surprise this afternoon. An early chrimbo present, so to speak.
My grandson #2 dropped in as he was local from Yorkie land. Mrs L had a smile on her face.
Something I haven't been able to do in a long time. (Cough)
Yep, still snotty and barking sorry!
Gotta go, kitchen duties to achieve.
Weather is cold and windy, at least no rain today.
Best wishes and stay warm.

Mrs L has a wheeled commode downstairs and a recliner, which also helps so much.
I couldn't afford these items but our doctors got in touch with the council and social services to provide items necessary for a better standard of living for Mrs L.
The house has been adapted as much as possible within the limit of our household income and the restricted access we have.
I'm certain you have certain aids, you may need more don't hesitate to find out if you need more.
Best wishes

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Due to a burst water main we have minimal water apart from orange bottles we fill with cold water during our hot weather to act as door stops. I have boiled this water and we are using this for cooking and drinking.
Hey ho and away we go. Boiling up white wine adding a tea bag you would think be very nice, well no and did you hear Mrs J shout at me, the neighbours did.
The positive aspect is the washing up is on hold.
It’s time to awake the post lunch sleeping Mrs J so she can snarl at Thames we bust our water main again Water.

5.7 this morning.
Chatgbt is brilliant. Thank you for bringing it to my attention @gennepher.
Granddaughter is turning 18 soon and daughter is compiling a keepsake book and wants to include messages from family. I listed what I wanted to say and chatgbt made it into a lovely message.
It would have taken hours for me to find the right words.

I'm afraid our doctors aren't interested. Once upon a time maybe - I actually remember a time when GPs actually cared about their patients, but that ended soon after my husband died. At least he had the benefit of the better service than we have now. The aids we have in this house are ones we installed for my husband as he grew weaker and are a help but those larger items, which had been supplied by the Community Care people, had to be sent back when he died. If I could get an appointment with the physio department at the hospital, that might help to get some assistance but even Alistair with his back/neck problems who might be on the point of losing his job due to his worn out discs, is still waiting for an appointment with them. Not much hope for me.

Right hand is working now, although still painful, but the left hand and shoulder are being stubborn, as are the left leg and foot. I have managed to get out of the chair by myself a couple of times today though.

I agree @Krystyna23040 it is brilliant for that kind of thing, it's brilliant for a lot of things.

I get tongue tied with words and I realise something doesn't sound okay so explain to ChatGPT what I want to get over and ChatGPT usually comes out with the perfect response each time.

Fbg 6.9 on Saturday

Kaleidosaturday...
A very long day...
I was just writing the post, when I fell asleep...
I was more than tired of a early, very long, expensive day, obstinate computer boxes that refuse too continue, and paperwork...

And to top it all, Royal Mail, who had been given the job of delivering half my dry catfood, failed abysmally in their task...and the Amazon box had been dropped on my doorstep and had burst open, scattering bags of cat biscuits all over my path and my garden...
I am disabled on two crutches and I had filled in an extra box Amazon put on this year to say that I had disability and accessibility problems so please be sure to leave my deliveries by the back door... and this was marked clearly on the front of the package.

And then an email came through from the Royal Mail with a cheery face, saying, 'How did we do?'
Google did not accept my verbal response...

And believe it or not it or not there was worse to come later in the morning...that low life courier firm, Evri, dumped some parcels on my front doorstep. I have not ordered anything that was to be delivered by Evri... NONE OF THE PARCELS WERE MINE... I looked at the addresses, one was across the road. They have security cameras so they would see me load my walker with a load of parcels., take them over the road and put them on their front doorstep. I spoke in the ring doorbell system. It was barking instructions at me which I could not hear.. I explained. They can sort out the extra parcels at least I delivered them theirs...

And then there was a cherry on the cake later in the day....the other half of my Amazon cat bisciuts arrived by Amazon, and a few other items. I was attempting to get something out of the car. I am on two crutches. The delivery man can see that...
He went to deliver his first parcel by the front door despite I am disabled on two sticks and I had filled in an extra box Amazon put on this year to say that I had disability and accessibility problems so please be sure to leave my deliveries by the back door... and this was marked clearly on the front of the packages. And I had also left a message by the gate saying "Please leave my parcels beside the kitchen door as instructed. Thank you.."
I said to him when I realised what he was going to do was "hang on, but there are instructions on the parcels to put them by the kitchen door. So please could you do that please? Thankyou.". He could see both doors just a few paces away from the gate. He looked as though he was about to drop the parcel in front of me there and then. But like I said, I was on two crutches. My reason for using Amazon for heavy goods like cat food because I can't do it myself. I can't collect heavy goods from the shops.

I then politely requested that he put all the parcels besides the back door. In the past, other Amazon drivers have used their trolly to wheel the cat biscuits to the back door, and all of them have offered to carry them into the kitchen for me which I always gratefully accepted...

Not this Amazon guy. For a brief moment, I thought he was going to drop the parcel in front of me.... I did not say anything but my face went absolutely furious, and no one challenges me with that face. The Amazon driver thought better of whatever it was he was going to do and went through my gate towards the back door... then he came out and took the rest of the parcels from his van to the back door... however when he left, I did say thank you, but I didn't like the look on his face. And I am thinking at that point what's he done. He had only gone and deliberately piled all the parcels right in front of the open kitchen door denying me access to the kitchen... my mobile was in the kitchen, so I had no access to get hold of it to take a photograph of his handiwork before I had to try and move them. Normally, like I said, Amazon drivers have always offered to carry them into the kitchen.... and some have offered to take the cat biscuits out of the Amazon boxes for me, and put the cardboard in the passage to help me.

But not this obnoxious Amazon driver...
It took me a few hours to sort this and I was utterly absolutely exhausted...

I have sent a very strong complaint to the highest boss I can find in Amazon. The first draft of my email was not accepted by Google.... so ChatGPT helped me to write an acceptable letter ....

Actually, my day did not go well from very early. My pharmacy had sent me a message on Friday evening to go and collect some medicines. I had to catch a taxi.. and so I booked one on Friday evening for 8.30 a.m. Saturday morning. I have been unable to book a taxi before now because I cannot telephone and I needed something a bit more complicated than doing an email booking because I needed them to wait for me.. however I have found a Taxi firm which will do bookings from WhatsApp and I can have a one-to-one to talk to them and explain what I need and explain about my walker...

The taxi arrived 15 minutes early, which was not so good because I was going to have to pay for extra waiting time, and so I asked him, could we call in at Tesco express for those few minutes?. Although it was on the route I had to pay the extra for stopping at another place.

I got to the pharmacy, went in, and the till lady said oh I'll get your medicines for you. I am very sorry she said I cannot find them.. what do you mean you cannot find them I said.... you have done this too many times to me, text me that you have my medicines waiting for me and I have come in on a wild goose chase to say that you don't have any. And in a very loud voice I said, my Taxi meter is up to £20 at this minute just for this visit here and you tell me that you do not have my medicines. Please search for those medicines.... 10 minutes later, we still cannot find them they said.... this is not acceptable. I said you have cost me well over £20 for a wild goose chase, please find those medicines. We can't find them again, they said.. look on your computer system I said and tell me what medicines have been sent out from the GP surgery that are these medicines you have called me in for to collect. She goes right in the face.... I'm very sorry she said this must be a malfunction in the text alert system. There has been nothing sent out from the GP. You have collected all your medicines., and there has nothing been sent out from the GP surgery since you last picked up your medicines. Thank you I said this is probably cost me another £5 waiting time to try and sort this out.

I go outside and the taxi driver is waiting he has fallen asleep. He asked me where my medicines are.. I explained that there are none. It is a wild goose chase and it is a malfunction in their system.. he was furious on my behalf because he said because it has cost you all this money this morning. The cost of my taxi drive when I got home was just a few pennies short of £25.

I know you will be thinking now why am I taking a taxi when I have a car? The answer to that is my car is undrivable at the moment and I am waiting for it to be repaired. But I am having an absolute nightmare getting through the insurance claim., because it let me get so far and then it said we cannot continue this claim online. You need to telephone a person, and it gives me a telephone number. The claim up to that point kept timing out on me and I would have to start back at a certain point all over again..... it was almost impossible. And so I sent the insurance firm a letter....

Apart from an automatic response, I have not heard from the insurance firmand so I had to escalate a bit yesterday, and introduce another body.
And that email at the end of a long day was almost too much and I had to check and doublecheck I had written everything correctly...

And so that was my Saturday full of love, joy and harmony....

I apologise if there are any typos or errors and I will check later on Sunday, apologies....

I am so sad for you that you are getting this unforgivable hassle. It amazes me how so many people can't follow simple instructions. I blame the parents..... I hope today is better for you.
