What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Five point seven this morning

Yesterday for lunch I had the largest steak i recall eating. A tiny bit of salad and wine

Supper was a small handful of blueberries and mascapone

It’s great to see a morning five but can’t tell if the early food or wine, or both played a role

I’m still very much on holiday here in Majorca. It’s cold and wet but there are many many inexpensive places to eat

8.2 today. To be honest with myself reasonably low considering my recent binge and off piste diet over the last week or so. Not a New Year resolution but just a note to self to get back on track and leave the naughty foods behind me and eat more sensibly. Have invested in several months of Libre CGMs to add incentive, daren't tell my wife that's a couple of hundred quid we could have spent elsewhere but cheaper and more effective than a gym or golf club membership.

The agree emoji was for the Libre they are expensive but do work as an incentive .

My FBG was 5.44 mmol/L this morning, a bit higher than usual. Yesterday I attended a funeral and had a long drive, so my routine was disrupted. I didn’t eat my usual protein and only drank one glass of water instead of four. Back on track today. Sunny and cold weather. Have a nice day, everyone.

6.2 today. Still cold but starting to warm up today, we’ll be back to zero tomorrow.
Ventured out to the gym today, roads are still stupid but I went early enough to avoid the crazies. Had a nice long walk and then some upper body. The snow began to fall so instead of shopping I came home. Snow has since stopped.
Sipping on tea now after a nice lunch.
Bloodwork is to be done on Wednesday. Not expecting good results for A1C, but who knows.

5.5 fingerprick 5.1 libre breakfast and off out a walk :)
swim was good yesterday. getting a little slower prob as haven't done as regularly little bit sorer than usual likely same reason.

food shop later on in the afternoon. getting stuff for new years day :) borrowing the pastry recipe from https://queenketo.com/keto-flaky-puff-pastry-sausage-rolls-3-ways/ for steak pie. likely making some soup and the same cheesecake had for xmas

whats everyone else thinking about for new years dinner/lunch?
