"What have you eaten" Parallel Chat

Usual breakfast, beef and noodles (I know, I know, but I seem to have got away with it by keeping moving) for lunch and salad with eggs and chicken liver pate for tea, with home grown pea shoots.

Not much progress but at least I kept moving around today. I planted some tomato seeds, just waiting for the other variety to arrive now. Tomorrow I must plant some more rocket, lettuce and pea shoots.

Breakfast: h/m sausages and fried eggs. Tea.
2nd meal has to be a small box of "pork in gravy" out of the little freezer in Neil's kitchen. Maybe more cabbage to go with it.

I've overdone it a bit already today: trying to sort out my bedroom still but it is slow going. There are bits to be thrown out, bits to go to a charity shop, things to go the DIL, if she wants them. She does a lot of sewing and I'm getting rid of much of my sewing stuff - can't use them any more. I'm keeping the sewing machines for Neil - he's perfectly capable of using them and may need to once I'm not here, so they are back in their cupboard but there are bits of fabric and bits of lace, ribbon and buttons as well as sewing tools, which DIL may want (even an old fashioned darning tool , shaped like a mushroom - anyone remember them from when we used to darn socks?) Really wore my arms and hands out stripping the lining from a set of faded curtains. The lining was still in perfect condition but the grey curtains had developed pink stripes. DIL may be able to use that to line some other curtains. Time to put my feet up and give my arms/hands some TLC.

Yes! We had one painted like a fly agaric mushroom in mum's old sewing box :hilarious:

Ouch, hope that recovers quickly.

I had the usual breakfast, beans and sausages for lunch and tea I think might be fish fingers with salad! I kept moving again today. I'm about to do that planting I promised I'd do today as well.

Usual breakfast, cheese omelette and salad for lunch, tea will be fish cakes and beans. I'm running late because I was up in the night and wide awake, so slept late, breakfast late, lunch late... tea will be in an hour or so.

I'm currently dismantling my old bed frame and hopefully putting up the new one or I'll be sleeping on the spare single bed tonight! This marks the start of my bedroom reset, which will most likely be done in small steps as energy allows.

Fingers crossed you get your new bed set up before bedtime.

It was a bit more of a struggle than I anticipated - I've put together a lot of stuff over the years but sometimes the instructions and process are quirky. I'm just making the bed up now, and then I need a nice shower. I think I might be hurting a bit tomorrow!

Gave up on trying to sleep about 03.00. I had gone through the point of being tired while working on a writing project I am doing and just couldn't doze off.

I've eaten already - a cold sausage and had a cup of tea. That wasn't breakfast. I will have an avocado for breakfast.

There's still that pork in gravy to use for my 2nd meal.

My SIL has been on what sounds to me like a very odd diet - oatmeal porridge 3 meals a day for 2 days, then normal food for the rest of the week. She did lose 2lb but put it back on after 5 days on normal food. I'm not surprised she lost weight on porridge only - there's only so much porridge one can eat. If I were to try that, not only would my BG be sky high, but I would definitely lose weight as my inside refused to accept it.
