What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.3 this morning … can’t post emojis but if I could it would be a sad face
I've added a sad face on for you. :( Keep on going, you will get there. Are you following low carb, low calorie, or lots of exercise? I won't mention Mediterranean diet or Eatwell plate, sadly they never did anything for me.

Interesting libre overnight readings

Very much sub six until I used the loo at three am.

Then a foot on the floor spike to seven point three and despite going back to sleep for another four hours only a very slight down shift in glucose levels

Currently six point eight

I’m back…it’s my birthday today and I did say I’d come back with a progress report….
So, my blood sugar readings were creeping up to levels I just haven’t experienced before. After a good long chat with myself I decided to go extremely low carb….less than ten a day and less if possible. It’s been a bit over a week and results are slightly disappointing. I actually forgot this morning, but yesterday it was 6.7….but it had been as low as 5.8. Just before lunch today….after 6000 steps and a leg workout it was 6.7…
I know it’s only been a week but you know that I’m always low carb ….just not overly extreme. I was hoping for better results. I’ll give it lots more time.
I did have my c peptide tested, it’s now at 444, it goes down every year by about 100 points.
I’m ok, just perplexed….
BUT! Holy smokes, is it a fabulous day out there. Brights sunshine and 20 degrees….soim going to stare at my garden and watch things grow

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.

I'll start.

This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me

What about you?

Yep I’m low carb not necessarily low calorie fat etc and lots of exercise last number of weeks …. Trying to do longer walk in morning and shorter in evening

Seems to be some random highs and readings are higher after walking but hopefully doing me good anyway
