To help them make sensible food choices?
When I'm in a good place emotionally I'm very good at making sensible choices and bring my weight and BMs right down. When I'm not -stressed or feeling sorry for myself because I can't healthily eat the same as my friends or family - I tend to eat the carby stuff anyway and to hell with the consequences. Except that the consequences catch up with me - blood sugar this morning 10.7, worst ever by a long shot.
In the short term I've decded to go back to the sort of intensive testing regime that I was on when first diagnosed and see if that makes me more mindful of the choices I make. But I've also been wondering whether a hypnotist might be able to help me not want the starchy carbs and sweet stuff in the first place.
Anybody tried this? Any views?
