4.7, continuing the trend started at the beginning of last week when I finally began the Newcastle Diet. That saw my fasting levels drop sharply from the 6s and 7s they had always been.
I'm now 10 days into it and have lost 12 lbs. Siren voices of friends, colleagues and family around me are suggesting "that's far too severe! Come on, you've got to eat something".
That's easier to resist than I thought, though - I just keep thinking how much better I feel, generally, and of the pains in my hands and feet, which disappeared on Day 2 of the diet and, so far, haven't been back.
It's early days, but so far it's been a remarkable turnaround.
