"A new you in 42"

Sounds more bucolic than my humping two dozen bags of soil and garden waste into the car and hoiking them out again at the tip! That's worth 15 minutes, back to the Step and Talking Heads shortly (about to throw it down outside).
All that in just 15 minutes? Respect!

Sat here chuckling at some of the posts. My arms and legs are knackered from yesterday so I walked for 45 minutes to and from the nearest supermarket to put the lotto on. Not many people out walking. Hadn't noticed that before.
Weather absolutely gorgeous out. First time I've worn sunglasses this year.

Have found a running club very local that does beginners run next Wednesday. I'm going to give it a go. I hate the treadmill.
Bit scared though. Got a nice email saying walking or running not a problem

Don't be put off cycling Pollylocks. Find yourself a cheap secondhand bike, or go to freecycle or somewhere. I cannot ride a bike any more, and miss the freedom it gave. You won't regret trying it, even if you don't like it, but probably have regrets if you don't try it.

..I won't be trying my son's thats for sure....never trust a crossbar lol....

Confession.
I am not very virtuous today. Struggled to get out of bed 10.30am. Back to bed with severe headache at 12.45pm. Just emerged with slightly less painful head, but not up to much. Does finger exercise typing on keyboard count? No, thought not. I will try to get my 30 minutes by strolling round the garden. Probably have to break it up into 10 x 3 minute chunks though.

Well done for trying but honestly if you aren't well please just rest up.;)

Sorry to hear that Pipp, hope your headache goes soon.

Rain held off so did some digging in the garden and about 12 minutes on the Step (blimey doesn't time go slowly doing gym-type stuff - just as well I set a TV up there to help pass the time). Think I may have lightly sprained my right hand earlier (no not that, just stop it OK) humping those soil bags - sign of age no doubt.

I wish hehe, just thought the energy was equivalent to 15 minutes brisk walk ...

It's surprising just how long a minute really is when you're watching the seconds tick over on the exercise bike meter. I've taken to using the cuddly chimp hanging from the ceiling next to it( in junior's bedroom) as a punchbag to take out my seething resentment at having do bloody exercise.

Pipp, just do what you can, when you can. I'm working on the principle that even just five minutes is five minutes more than I used to do.

Gillie Ruth try adding raspberries to the greek yoghurt and chocolate yummy.
Are you in Aus?
Our national guidance says to eat healthy carbs, as you can see theres a lot of people disagree with that advice.

Frozen blueberries go well with the yogurt, or any frozen berries. Drooling at the thought.

This is so impressive. Mrs Vimes you are ace. Feeling afraid but doing it anyway is making the adrenalin work in a positive way.
Jamrox, you have much to be proud of starting this thread.

But I can't. I never break a promise. So far have completed 3x3 minute garden circuits. Drinking lots of water to try to make me feel better. Will get my 30 mins in.

Was going to make a comment about what you were doing with the soil bags, but don't want to be banned!

Cheers Pipp, I think everyone on this thread are ace. Everyone is trying to better themselves and we've all started from different places but are all showing excellent effort and progress. TICK VG.
I think this is one of the nicest threads (and there are a lot of nice threads on this forum) as everyone is so supportive and a fun atmosphere as well.

Sugar free jelly for all! Cream optional!

Can the jelly be optional too, please? I remember having to hide mine at nursery school in my hankie as I hated the stuff.

I am tempted by the jelly option. Currently wavering after 3 weeks on Newcastle diet.

9 calories in a quarter of made up sugar free jelly. I think the cream might not be a good idea.

If you don't want sugar free jelly you may have a handful of unsalted nuts or small portion of berries!

Mrs Vimes, are you taunting me? Newcastle = meal replacement drinks + vegetables! Seriously considering changing tactics, as the thought of egg and bacon for breakfast with a roast for dinner tomorrow is increasingly appealing. I could do it without the bread and spuds, but for the moment I am going to enjoy steamed cauliflower with lots of spices and seasoning. While it is cooking I will complete a few more circuits of the garden.
What a way to spend Saturday night!
