"A new you in 42"

Mrs Vimes, are you taunting me? Newcastle = meal replacement drinks + vegetables! Seriously considering changing tactics, as the thought of egg and bacon for breakfast with a roast for dinner tomorrow is increasingly appealing. I could do it without the bread and spuds, but for the moment I am going to enjoy steamed cauliflower with lots of spices and seasoning. While it is cooking I will complete a few more circuits of the garden.
What a way to spend Saturday night!

i dont get the newcastle diet but, it was a good idea when you decided to do it, its just as good an idea now, think about the reason you started and be strong, nothing worth having is easy to get

No sorry! Thought it was calorie controlled? Don't give in to the cravings. It might sound lovely but you are working so hard at it. There will come a time when you will be able to eat those guilt free if you go lchf or have a nice grilled version if you choose low fat.

What do you give yourself as a treat at the moment instead of food? Would you have a hot bubble bath or wear a nice smelly?
Or do you like sitting in the Garden or outside with a cuppa?

I like coming on here dipping in and out. Or catching up on the news on the internet.

Ta, grilled jelly sounds nice. Lol. I am too mean to discard the unused Ultraslim food replacement sachets, so staying with the programme. Got at least another two weeks worth.
I have just treated myself to cauliflower, broccoli, courgette and red onion, with curry spices. While it was cooking I did 3 more strolls in garden, taking that to 18 minutes exercise so far.
I looked at the garden in a new light. Patio furniture = gym equipment. Plan before dark, but after food gone down a bit, to do bench presses on garden table, lunges and side stepping holding onto back of garden chair, invisible hoola hooping, followed by cool down cross knee tapping round the garden. (A la peacetrain). Should take me past the 30 mins target. Then I will have a nice long soak in the bath and look forward to last meal replacement drink of the day, vanilla milkshake. For the hell of it I might even throw in some blueberries and have a glass or two of fizzy water. Yay for the weekend.
Thanks for rescuing my flagging resolve.

Yes, Newcastle actually sorted my blood glucose almost three years ago, and it has stayed sorted, despite having a body battered by surgery and immobile through trauma, at being obese.I thought Newcastle was the only way for me, but having read about lchf I am wondering. Too scared to go high fat, as just got off metformin this week. Lots of weight still to lose. Worried high fat could send cholesterol levels up and aiming to get off statins next.

Take care in case the neighbours have one of those bright search lights that sense movement!

Jealous. My weight is still sticking to my ribs lol

Better on the ribs. Mine is round the middle. Like a weeble, only I wobble and I do fall down.

On a more serious note I have managed my 30 minutes in small stages. To celebrate I am currently 'dancing' (read staggering) to an old 70's Top of the Pops programme on tv. Showaddywaddy , boney M et al.
