This has NOTHING to do with Diabetes......

Another last minute goal to rescue a another big country! Portugal saved themselves with a last kick of the game goal. The Staes had nearly pulled off a shock going 2-1 up with about twenty minutes to go! Portugal would have been knocked out of the competition if they had lost and the States would have guaranteed a place in the last sixteen! Now the States have to face Germany to get a point to qualify.
Remember, the so called 'fixed' game between Germany and Austria, when both teams only required a draw for both to progress! Result, a draw!

Which team thinks that they can avoid Brazil, or will both teams just play out for a draw in this heat.?
 
I don't think either team should be fearful of playing Brazil, it's one of the weakest Brazilian sides in a long time. Chile might be better suited to playing them, but Hollands pace up front would cause problems, plus RvP would be back. I would think the runners up in group A would be a more dangerous prospect, either Mexico or Croatia, I'd be more concerned about playing either of them.
 
Brazil certainly haven't reached there pre tournament favourites performance yet!
The number of goals will I think drop as the tournament gets into the last 16.
The bookies are not usually wrong!

Good tactical game though!

I've always rated Arjen Robben but I think he's been outstanding in this competition

There has never been a European side that has won in South America! The only one I believe that can technically can win is Germany. Depends how the draw goes for them. I still think Brazil will win, they will get through group stages and then will have to perform, and then they will just scrape through maybe on pens and because they are the hosts, will just be good enough.

And I agree that Chile could well do for Brazil if they recover the touch they showed against Spain.

Brazil have to win, to avoid Holland! Can the hosts take the pressure?
 
Has Phil Thompson got an agenda regarding the England team and the Liverpool players currently in the team?
I've never heard such propaganda pro Liverpool rubbish in all my life!
They will not have such a good season as next year, they have been found out, unless they completely change the team or change team tactics!
Steven Gerard has been absolutely garbage and has to retire!

That's my view! He is not a sitting midfielder, he can't do the job, get someone in who can!
