Exactly! Saw my nurse practitioner last Monday to change my meds, went armed with my readings and told him I was strictly lchf - he said I need a portion of carbs with each meal, have a sandwich for lunch etc- I said no I prefer my salmon salad or prawns with cream cheese etc, considering I was getting average 7.2 I hrs post food by then, I tried 12g carbs that night and woke to 10.2!!! Never had a morning that high in the two weeks of lchf........last few days average 5's on waking!! Think WE know best??!Nothing to worry about. It's not a license to stuff yourself, you can put on weight. But your bg will be goodToday I started the eat as much as you want low carb high fat malarky.
