A 4,7 mmol for me this morning.

Very surprising after a Chinese meal last night. I did not have any rice or noodles but still expected to be higher this morning. But who's complaining!

Fall has finally arrived to our back garden with yellowing wisteria leaves covering the back patio.

4.7 this morning. We were out for a meal last night and I completely forgot my metformin; but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. I have just had a slice of toasted fruit loaf to fuel a cycle ride. Now I'm off to find my hi-viz jacket!

6.4 I had fish fingers last night, and went to bed at 7.2 ,wont have them again, thought they would be ok.

5.3 usual pre breakfast reading for me, quite surprised, night out last night with some of the family, restaurant meal all LC but at the Gig had a naughty ice cream.

6.3 for me this morning. Since my change in medicine not had a low fasting results:( hopefully when my body gets used to them that will improve

9.1 today. Been a bit low in myself since my friends funeral. And odd things crept into my diet mindlessly. Up early today and got a grip on it...its all too easy to say oh a little bit of this won't hurt? But it does as my 9 shows today
Hard core low carb today

4.8 at bedtime
6.2 this morning

Could be a liver dump as I had a lovely lie-in. Or could be the large amount of protein kicking in from last night's fillet steak.

5.9 average this morning. I only took one of my Metformin last few days as I've been in really bad pain and am beginning to think it's contributing as it seems to be worse a few hours after taking it. I have read on other forums that it can make anxiety worse and it does seem to exacerbate mine sometimes so going to cut down to two from three and see how I get on. I've been having a few dizzy turns late afternoon when my BS is at 4 so hoping these stop too.

What did your doc say about stopping/reducing Metformin? Your BS are well controlled, you are eating to your meter, do you still need any tablets at all? I only ask because many of us are diet only with your sort of levels. Metformin has never even been mentioned to me. If you believe they are causing you problems, maybe you could manage equally well without them? You would always have the option of going back to them if necessary.

Given your readings, I would think 2 doses a day shouldn't do any harm. Anyway, it will be interesting for you to see what happens. Hope you're feeling better soon. :-)

Not spoken to him tb- he wanted me on 4 and I only ever got to 3- no DN at practice so you are pretty much on your own. I have a review in January but tbh I know he'll say stay on as he loves Metformin. May try and get an appointment with another GP. Two was doable so going to arm nyslef with some figures on 2 and see how what he says x

I'm running i n 4s most afternoons and low fives by bed most days so hoping two is enough. I also have a bit more weight to shift so hoping it all works together.
