My partner got following note from diabetic nurse yesterday when he went to appointment...
10g = 2mmols
i unit insulin = (downward arrow) 2-3 mmols

(note: the equal signs were 'approximately equals' but can't find that symbol on my keyboard)
Any idea what this means....
Had already asked a number of questions about how things went so didn't ask about above.....he was starting to get irritable about my questioning.......chances are he won't remember anyway...
Assume it relates to some sort of carb counting which is something he has never done before.
Also last night he had a low reading of 4.7 pre dinner (salmon and salad) but still injected his usual 28 units of Novomix 30...he didn't check bs levels later or before bed....on the basis of the above, should he have reduced amount of insulin taken particularly as dinner was low carb content...
