@Alzebra I'm stressed to h*ll too. My sugar is creeping up and weight too. Which isn't helping. I ran out of double cream and pork scratchings. Hence lchf diet has gone to pot. Back on it today but fbgs creeping up as stressed about financies for xmas. Mam won £20,000 at bingo but is avoiding me. I'm leaving her to it. My oldest son has high hopes for xmas now his nana is a millionary. I hope she doesn't let him down like she has me all my life. Her win feels like a curse to me. We need so much - necessities and are skint. I'll just have to go with the flow. Whatever that will be. Expectations are a heavy burden.

Sorry to hear this. Can you find something to do that will take your mind off the problems? I know what stress was like teaching (I taught maths at a secondary boys school) but that was over 15 years ago and I'm sure it's a lot worse now. I don't know anything about vertigo but sounds horrid. Wishing you all the best. Take care.

Fasting bg 9.2 I'm not surprised. Totally down and thyroid still hurting. Off now to see GP for help. Keeping fingers crossed that helped fully. Not prepared to be brushed off. Cannot afford to add any more weight.

As predicted. Brushed off by the not so good gp. Apparently I've injured my shoulder. Pushing the baby buggy.
Well I'm one for being fair. So I'll take his advice and use the gel and hot water bottle with stretching exercises. Alongside the ibuprofen I'm already taking. I'll give it over the weekend and then I'll go back if no better.
I'm no doctor so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Anything for an easy life.... for now.

Thanks @Hiitsme. I've been walking a couple of times a week (3-8 miles) which has helped loads with my stress levels and my weight loss, but I can't even manage a few steps in a straight line at the moment thanks to the vertigo :banghead: I've also lost a very close friend this week (to cancer) and no doubt that's impacting my BP too. I don't want to sound like I'm full of self-pity, it's just been a really tough week :sorry:

I'm sorry to hear of your loss @Alzebra. Here's me moaning and stressing hopefully about nothing. Thanks for helping me put things into perspective. :-)

@ickihun Your life sounds pretty stressful, and we know that stress is really bad for diabetes. I've been really fortunate with my LCHF experience, this is the first health issue I've had to deal with in 7 months, so I don't want to sound whiney. This forum is great for getting things off your chest and I heartily encourage you to make the most of it. Big hugs to you, hope your shoulder improves soon xx

Hope this works. How do you cope with a little one? No picking up? I do wish you all the best. Take care.

We are all here for the same thing - support. God life can be tough at times. You know up until recently I was fit as a lop. Since metformin stopped working and nasty side affects I was doing reasonably well. This insulin and adding weight lark has got me very down. I think my attempt to lose 8 stone has just weighed me down, too much. I had high hopes for lchf diet and reducing insulin with a new tablet but no. I'm adding weight. I bet it's down to my thyroid which has been silently took for granted levothyroxine fixed the problem. Too simple- me thinks. :-\

6.2 this morning. It doesn't seem to be much different as we ate out yesterday with a lot higher carbs than normal.

5.9 this morning, which is higher than normal.... not too sure why, so will monitor closely...

4.3 lowest for ages. A bad day yesterday. Today's another day. I'm optimistic. Even though raining cats and dogs we are off for a swim. Pool opening permitting. Will call first. ;-)
Butter, cream and pork scratchings for weight loss and low bgs today. :angelic: :angelic: ;) :watching:

Thats just it @Hiitsme I don't have shoulder pain. It's in my threat/neck area. I'm calling doc monday for appointment to see other doc at practice. I now want this half of my thyroid removed. It's affecting my weight too much. I'll save and go private if I have too. Suffered it for 22yrs and no improvement. It has to go!

4.9 this morning. A bit surprised because I am on antibiotics for chest infection and steroids are back to high dose after talking to Asthma nurse on Fri:rolleyes:
