Hi everyone I have just had my third blood results. July was58 then went up to 63 and now .....,,49! LCHF working for me. Lost one stone and intend to lose a lot more [emoji106][emoji1]
I was diagnosed in July and offered Metformin. Didn't take it and been on LCHF. Doing ok but have had lots of bladder infections. My Urologist says that Metformin will help with these. Just come back from week in Spain and was going to start taking it today, but not sure now if I want to risk...
Hi I am also newly diagnosed and have decided to try and control with diet. In two weeks I have lost half a stone and my bs readings seem to be going in the right direction. I decided not to take the Metformin and it was put to me by the nurse "do you want tablets or not". I have learned so much...
Very new to all this only diagnosed one week ago, trying to manage with diet and no Metformin. If I do IF for one or two days a week and take Nuzest then go LCHF is this ok? Thanks
I do tend to have high readings in the morning before breakfast - 13 ish. Heard of the liver dump or dawn phenomenon, what can I do to help this a bit?
Thank you. I have a very arthritic knee- may need a new one soon so my visits to the gym have all but stopped. Went this afternoon though and had a reading of 6.7! Had a low carb dinner and now 8.7. Is it just going to take time to settle down? Only diagnosed on Tuesdsy
Diagnosed on Tuesday. Not on meds as I am try to control by diet. Have had a low since then of 7.1 but just tested after breakfast and 10.3. Is this usual when newly diagnosed. Cutting carbs right down and trying the LCHF Diet. Don't think I got a lot of info from Practice Nurse. Thanks
Was only diagnosed on Tuesday and decided to try and cope without Metformin. Had good readings Wednesday but last night after dinner went to 14. Tested again after breakfast and gone up a bit more. Could porridge account for high reading this morning? Still all new to me
