Type 2 Type 2 fasting levels

Hi all, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes last year, then after birth had a hba1c of 46 8 weeks after the birth, Dr was completely unconcerned and told me not to worry and carry on as normal, test again in a year. I am a bit concerned by a 46 and aware this puts me high in pre diabetic...

    Questions about blood glucose

I don't have masses of experience in this topic, I too believe I am prediabetic or perhaps even type two, from what I have researched numbers below 5.5mmol are completely normal and your fasting numbers seem to be great too. People with more knowledge maybe speak up and disagree, but I don't...

    Prediabetes Type 2

Hi all, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes when pregnant which i now think is potentially type two. I had the blood test 8 weeks after the birth and my doctor said it was on the cusp of prediabetes and she wasn't worried as it was still soon after birth so she'd test again in a year...

I'm taking Metformin twice daily and insulin for fasting at night, I'm on 22 units at 28 weeks! I haven't touched fruit since finding out at 16 weeks, I was at the...

    Confused!

Thanks guys, maybe I will do a bit more research and try find out what I can expect two units to be able to allow me to eat! I've been told to keep it at two units for now but given no clue as to how much that should have meant I could eat! Perhaps I need to carb count a little more strictly...

    Confused!

I'm not sure there's many with gestational diabetes on these forums but any advice greatly appreciated. I recently (week and half) started taking 2 units of fiasp with my evening meal so that I could eat carbs, dietician made a point of saying I must eat a decent amount of carbs after taking it...

    Please help with first hypo!!

I think you may be right, I had been advised to have four jelly babies, I ate two and did think about leaving it there but decided that as I'd been told four and I felt so grim I'd eat the others too, but actually, the first two probably would have done the job and raised the sugars enough but...

    Please help with first hypo!!

I get really confused with all the numbers and food pairings still, my target an hour after meals is 7.8 the after two hours 6.4, but I can eat what I thought was a really well paired meal and get an 8.5 after half an hour. Which then others put the fears into me that this is really bad for baby...

    Please help with first hypo!!

Hi all, I found out early on, about 16 weeks that I seem to have gestational diabetes, maybe type 2. 26 weeks now... I've recently started taking 2 units of fiasp with my evening meal and my bedtime insulin to control fasting levels is at 23 units, this goes up a unit every few days :( This...
