If in the minds of the medical folk consistent BG readings of ,say 11 or 12 "prove" you have diabetes do readings of between 5.2 and 5.8 "prove" that you do not have diabetes. Or can you possibly be diabetic even if your BG readings are between 5.2 and 5.8 ?
kittypoker. Quite so. Do you also remember reading in my earlier posts about my slap-dash GP?
"Take one tablet a day [makers say 2 a day] and come back and see me in a year" must be a high point in medical history.
On the basis of a high A1c reading she went straight to Eucreas with no proper...
After I was told by my slap dash GP "I think you have got diabetes" I decided to change my diet to lose weight and defeat diabetes. I lost 45 pounds until it stabilized. Since November 2013 when I was told my morning tests have slowly improved. It has been a very steady trend downwards. I take...

I ask because my GP said during World Diabetes Week in 2013 "I think you have diabetes and want to give you tablets". This seemed to be based on a blood test that showed a high A1c ( 6.2 % ) that was very similar to 7 previous blood tests over the previous 4.5 years that she had ignored...
I take one "Cod liver oil and multivitamins" capsule every day. We were told they have been replaced by "A-Z complete 50+ vitamins and minerals."
Apart from containing ten additional chemicals the packet says diabetics should consult their doctor before taking them.
The chemicals are calcium...
I've just realised A full tub of AccuChek strips are a month out of date. ARRRRGGGGHHH.
Does it really matter? They have lousy consistency at the best of times I've read---Plus or minus up to 30 per cent I've read.
If being out of date harms them who knows they may turn out to give...
The tracer they inject before the scan is radioactive glucose solution. I've been told by my GP "I think you have got Type 2"
So I lost 3.5 stones and by low carb no sugar diet keep my BG around 6.4 ---6.8. I take no meds.
Anyone know anything about the effects of the glucose? Anything they...
I control my weight and BG by diet. My BG is almost always between 6.5 and 7.7. Occasional readings of 5.6 on waking.
Today I had a CT scan to see why I have rattles and gurgle sounds from one lung.
I was given contrast fluid in the arm. This was midday. Just now at midnight I checked and...
Or is this just the dream of the drug companies? Everybody has BG levels that bounce up and down. My wife eats some shocking stuff and her BG goes up. But I do admit her pancreas gets hold of the situation a lot faster than mine. Is that the true meaning of diabetes? A speedy and thuggish...
A few more details. My neighbour really is fit as a fiddle. His garden isn't big enough for him so he maintains the public/communal areas. He does not wear glasses so I think he reads his meter correctly.
Actually he is a bit of a trial to talk to because his health and his wife's is his...
