Quote from 'The diabetic specialist' after downloading my reader readings...

"In my twelve years of working in this field this is the best set of figures I have seen. I have only seen two or three other sets of readings that come anywhere close to this in all that time!"

He went on to say... "I want you to stop taking insulin with immediate effect!"

O M G!

Awesome; well done @poemagraphic , real inspiration right there

Happy Monday team
Thank you all for your well wishes. My nose is not so sore and my eye is blacker, that said my pride is well bruised (being a Leo us lions don't take kindly to bashing ourselves) ;)

SO... Down to business Forgot to test first thing, went in the shower had brekkies (eggy bread with bacon and 3 cherries... Mmmm! Coffee and double cream) stabbed my finger watched the blood sucked up the strip and saw the screen flash up 5.8

Now today Mon 20th I start my 7th week on insulin and am off to see, for the first time, my diabetes specialist at the hospital.
I am unsure what he will think about my 30% reduction in insulin and my 50% reduction in Glicaside in 7 weeks!

I know what I think he should say.... (My daily average is 6.0) However that might differ hugely from what he actually does say.

Watch this space as 'they' say!
Have a great day Ya all

UPDATE: I have just returned from my hospital appointment.

Good morning folks, a straight 6.0 on the dice today, new jobs ok lots of sparks on it, a few that I had apprentice to me which was nice but made me feel my age, in other news has anyone noticed how young policemen are looking these days.
Have a lovely day all.

9.1 at 5:30 am

I did only have one meal yesterday, eggs and cheese because my tummy didn’t feel like food. I wasn’t ill, just off colour or something. So maybe that’s why my reading is a tiny bit lower.

Anyway, I am happy enough with it as my readings will go lower in the day. Unless stress is knocking at the door. Since I cannot hear knocking, with being deaf, it cannot visit can it?

So been chilling out in potting shed with cat doing absolutely nothing. And plan on doing that all day today.

The real outside world beckons tomorrow but in the meantime, it doesn’t exist!

Take care. Enjoy the day.

Lovely sunny morning here with a breeze taking the edge off the warmth. I hope you can all either enjoy the same or have the weather you or your part of the world needs. 4.8 today at 6.20 which could just as easily be wrong as the higher numbers or any other number. The 6.20 up an at em is about right for me and the hens this time of year. Somewhere along the line L/H side lat muscle has upset itself so Aunty inflamatory is joining me for tea. Not sure swimming lessons for useless old gits will happen today. Have a great day.

Sunny day and my priority today is to track down some HiLo bread and a bit of gardening.
@ianpspurs hope the pain eases, dont overdo it today.

Interesting how same food has different outcomes on different days. Glad veggie lasagne has a reprieve - maybe the reheat theory played a part there? Stage managing for viewers today so lots of pharmaceuticals then deal with any fallout another day. Hope you find this elusive HiLo bread as I know you like your well buttered toast.
