Breakfast: Cullen skink.

2nd meal will be okra and other veg stew.

Everything ready made, so no hassle today.

I was going to put that 2nd chocolate cake in the freezer for future use, but Alistair turned up with some sewing that DIL had done for me (that's her third job - seamstress) and I feel I should pay her for doing it for me. However, she had given Alistair strict instructions not to accept payment, so I gave him the cake instead.

Me too. As long as I don't go hypo, I don't need to eat just because I'm getting hunger signals. If I get teary or shaky then it's time to find food.

Today breakfast is leftover frittata, and salt and chilli chicken if I can face it (I'm not a natural morning eater but meds need to be taken with food)

Probably no lunch unless I can't manage the chicken now.

Dinner will probably be roast pork, no idea yet which veg as hubby is popping to the shops today. Likely to include roasted mushrooms and some other veg that just can be chucked in the pan with the meat. I've requested courgettes but last time sainsburys only had two sorry-looking ones in stock. Asparagus would be wonderful!

B: 1 egg. Only one because I forgot to buy any when shopping yesterday, horror!:arghh:
L: out while shopping with a friend. A large slice very well filled spinach and feta pie. Made with filo pasty I tried to leave most of the pastry but kept nibbling. Accompanied by a rather splendid cauliflower salad with olives and dried tomatoes. Drank tea.
D: 2 lamb chops with hm lc cauliflower cheese. A mini ice cream.

Very tired, I fell asleep in the chair.

Decided to try this chilling of starch idea this morning so made porridge last night and left it in the fridge to have for breakfast this morning. I do like porridge, but it doesn't like me usually. At least my BG doesn't do well on it. We shall see.

I still have a lot of Cullen skink left so that will be my 2nd meal today.

EDIT: 11.00 - BG is OK but I'm hungry. Of course, now, I remember that starchy foods don't satisfy hunger for very long. So I may have to have lunch of Cullen skink and think of something else for 3rd meal.

Hubby is very keen on making resistant starch at the moment, mostly so he can still cook the rice and pasta dishes we like. I'd rather he did the carbs separately so I could just have sauce but he prefers things like risotto where it's all mixed together.

Not eaten yet, I don't like eating in the mornings and planning now to take meds with normal meals rather than eat to the ridiculous schedule dictated by rubbish GP.

Meals today will be a mixture of leftovers and whatever we can scrape together as waiting on a big shop. It's salad weather and I think we still have some tomatoes and a wrinkly half cucumber. Add a tin each of tuna, mackerel and olives and that's one meal sorted...
