What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I’ve decided to leave.

The image uploader does not work reliably for me, despite making file size small and using jpeg, and trying to work around this has taken far more time and energy than I can manage.

I’m stepping away rather than continuing to struggle with posting.

Thank you.

@gennepher please don't stop posting even tho, you are having difficulties with putting some of your fantastic art on here. Your experience with how you deal with your obvious conditions and the day to day obstacles we all face. You have put so much Into this thread and found friends, one of which I am among them.
Enough.
Mrs L woke up and thought that I should have cooked the gammon and turkey, as it was Christmas eve. And I went shopping for last bits and came back to the bedroom upside down and more washing. I just signed and did it all. Mrs L also found her Christmas day pj's. Mrs L did ask if I had put them in my drawer? Mrs L wanted me to look for them. Still waiting for the last lot to come out of the drier.
I am close to being ready for the big day. So on this Christmas eve, eve, eve (?) Hoping you all have a wonderful time for you and your loved ones.
Merry Christmas.
Don't forget...... Onion and cucumber in non brewed vinegar. Goes wonderful with the Christmas gammon.
My best wishes.

i wondered if you would continue posting but not attaching your art work. We all love your art work, but value you so much as a member of this forum that we would hate to see you leave

It is possible to upload images, without using an outside site which is not possible to monitor, and exposes people who respond to the outside site to having identities revealed in this forum. Which could present data protection difficulties.

Admittedly there have been difficulties with uploading images in the past, which seem to be resolved.
Several people in this thread post images daily.
So it appears that the former difficulties are resolved.

If @gennepher or anyone else is still having problems uploading images, perhaps we could discuss it here and solve the problem together? It is a chat / social thread, in addition to being a place to record fasting BG levels, after all. (I no longer check my BG every morning, but did today, because I ate a rather delicious Christmas meal last night, and was less diligent about counting the carbs .Not bad, at 5.4. Happy with that).

Nobody wants to see anyone leave if there is a simple problem that can be solved to keep them happy, but stays within the rules. . Of course, if someone would rather leave, we all have to respect that, and wish them well, as we say goodbye.

Good Afternoon and it seems good bye to @gennepher. One of the reasons I like this thread is Gennefer’s art work. Also Gennefer has helped my granddaughter with her art work another reason is the way Gennefer copes with her disabilities. An inspiration to me.

My skin graft operation went well last week, but not so the stitches removal which has now been postponed. Blood sugars vary between 5 and 12 depending on time of day and food and insulin.

Have a great Christmas all, Smile, suffer with flatulence blaming it on the sprouts. That’s me done for a few days and now to continue with my afternoon nap.

We went to x-ray department for Mrs L appointment.
We were told, the appointment wasn't necessary, as it was too close to her last x-ray.
We weren't aware of the change. I was a bit unhappy. And a few swear words was experienced going out the hospital.
Today got worse as Mrs L thought that Christmas was over and unnecessarily brought the tree down.
After a few more swear words and a half hours later repairing the decorations and more importantly the Angel shoved back on top, it still doesn't look right.
Hopefully tomorrow and the big day will be a lot better. I won't be happy until it's over.
Gotta go, Mrs L is attempting to make me use more swear words than I know. The kitchen is under threat.
Have a wondrous chrimbo eve, eve.
Best wishes.

Please don't leave Gennepher. I will miss you so much. Of course, we'll miss the pictures, but it's you that we'll miss most of all. I can't bear the thought.

BG is surprisingly stable despite pain. Not much food, of course - only a piece of salmon yesterday, and a sliver of cheese with a tomato, plus a digestive biscuit when BG started to drop. 2 cups of milk, one cup of tea and water. Today Neil made me a mushroom omelette. Too little fluid. Left arm/hand refusing to work but I am managing to stand without help now.

Neil took me to podiatry appointment today. P is worried about my big toe which is exceeding painful so Neil took photos of it and discovered a small lesion underneath the toe which may be infected. I'll see a nurse tomorrow anyway and see what she says. P also says I really must insist on seeing a GP to get help with all my other issues. At least she has promised to arrange for home podiatry visits in future, so that's one good thing.

Here is Kiki five minutes after the heating came on - she has abandoned the soft blankets on the bed in favour of Warmth.
Great picture. Is that from an iPad.?
Love the flooring, a little like how I decorated wife & i’s bedroom emulating the paces on our travels..

5.5 this morning.
Sorted out my winter clothes this morning.
Now I have my lovely extra warm jumpers in my wardrobe, rather than the storage box under my bed. It is definitely warm winter jumper weather at the moment.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.

I just had a visit from a Christmas tree. DIL spent yesterday evening making a Christmas tree costume from artificial trees, baubles and fairy lights with a leafy hat and a fairy on top. She spent the day outside the Christmas Fair at the town hall, handing out sweets and inviting people in to the Fair. The council failed to advertise the Fair, the entrance showed no sign that it was there and they refused to allow stall holders to advertise in any media (on pain of losing their stall for the next year). So DIL took it upon herself on behalf of all the others (they looked after her stall for her). She certainly brought smiles to faces in Stornoway today.
