What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

No fbg....guess who looked at the wrong rota for work and thought they started at noon...aagghh

In Uber on way in, very very late...so ashamed, I'm rarely late .

On a side note re getting back to better eating habits.

Since accident, I have been fighting on too many front to really put t2d first.

And in a fit of pique I stopped buying dark chocolate..nearly £4 a bar around here.

Dairy milk ones only £1.50 ish.

But omg.

When I get the dark chocolate one or two squares more than enough.

The empty wrapper for the daily milk type testament to how addictive I found it

Back on the dark...better for me and likely more cost effective in the long run ...

Fbg to follow in the more, now I'm rushing for work..say a prayer bosses understand...gulp

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Blood sugars this morning were 9.? Something or other

This morning I was unsupervised while Mrs J went to Aldi, I had a list of tasks which I unsuccessfully failed to complete by dosing with my legs up as instructed by medics.
Early this afternoon I had a legs treatment and dressing change afterwards I was treated to a koffy at a local cafe we had not been to before.
I must sign out now….grrrr.
Tasks have manifested themselves

Back up in the 7s again. Bah!

And many visitors today and Mrs L had a good old fashioned gossip about me to most of them.

Too much to say, not enough to say it.

Just wish, the sun would come back, fed up of the cold.

My best wishes.

Cor blimey @alf_Josiah

Ya can't do right for doing wrong...

I'd always side with the medic & doss as often as possible.

Must be effective, scarecrows do it, and I've yet to see one in all my visits to the hospital waiting around for treatment, so there's proof, if proof was needed .

Take care fella.
Liking the post's, because sometimes it's the mental fortitude that sustains us through difficult times, I think .

"If ya still grinning..ya still winning " comes to mind.

Other more colourful versions, as well as sea shanties available at any good local dockside.

Hug for the raised fbg.

Mrs L gossiping, sounds like a good thing, tho..

I'd imagine lots of well constructed if not constructive thoughts verbalised, bodes well,I'd suggest.

I say suck it up, mate.snd take it as a win.

When I had my very first little fall on the motorcycle, (fell off after not unlocking the disc lock on wheel as I pulled away...a rite of passage for any biker, lol )

Madam picked up the phone to tell everyone she knew "Guess what he's done now "
before I'd even climbed out from under the bike, extremely red faced with a very ouchie ankle.

I think in the proverbial words of anon," they all do that, sir "...;)
( Though I must be honest and say I've heard the same phrase used by Richard Attenborough about black widow spiders....mmhh )

And be patient my friend, summers deffo on it's way..bet it's a scorcher too.

Friday.. Didn’t believe the meter fbg was 5.8. Later in the day 4.7 , then 4.3.

This morning for no discernible reason 7.1. :banghead: I guess if I take lots of readings on the days when I am getting 4s and 5s my average will look better, especially if I swerve using the meter when fasting is in the 7s. Yeah that would be cheating, and the HbA1c would catch that.
Ah well. Blame it on the weather.

@Annb , been thinking of you and hope you are feeling better.

You can't fight natural instincts mate. That is what women do.......!

Being out at the footie has given me a break, don't mention the score please?

Mrs L is having a better day, I think the grandkids coming round, has cheered her up.

Weather is sunny but cold. A bit of rain overnight and the spring bulbs are coming through.
Need more warmth though.

Best wishes.

Good afternoon, a late afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
My blood sugars this morning were 8.7, a little low for the hospital, never mind, they set my insulin levels and I’m trying to adhere to the levels that they set.

Here in Tilehurst Towers it has been a strange day, my alarm, which I had set late, woke me up, a late start to what turned out to be a busy morning.
Mr Tesco home delivery turned up within the specified time slot.
Me, being a dutiful husband, helped Mrs J unpack and put the shopping away, now where I think the shopping goes and where Mrs J knows where the shopping goes, do I have to say anymore ?

I think my neighbours now know where the shopping goes.

This afternoon after our customary nap. Mrs J decided to update my drugs list. A task beyond my capabilities. Ear defenders time, thankfully it was predictive text in the firing line. I never knew Mrs J knew such profanities.
Stay safe all and enjoy your evening.

Awake when I don't want to be ....agh.

Couldn't get back to sleep, either

I wonder if the fact dcuk seem to have altered the space time continuum or that predictive texting has improved beyond belief...;):hilarious:
Have anything to do with it....mmmhh.

Fbg yesterday morning 8.6, stress & chocolate... maybe

Hope the switch back brings some improvement.

Good morning everyone from what promises to be a wonderful treat of a week wearing rain macs and galoshes.
A 5.3 snapshot of the trials and tribulations of the inner workings of bewilderment on waking.
A draining day yesterday for this Yorkshireman - flights booked for March and for August to go and see my mother. We will hire a car in August to take her out and about and to celebrate her 92nd birthday.
Meantime, the carriages on the town cliff tramway have been removed and taken away for some TLC. These old Victorian installations need a lot of care - much like me .
Shopping to do today for me. Mrs Miggins and her twin are off to lay flowers at the cemetery.
Not been right in the head for any art lately but did lay out a couple of ideas on postcard size bits of paper.
Hope your day is kind to you. Always enjoy what you have until life gets better. Talking of which, I have some koffy to consume.

I love the line " always enjoy what you have until life gets better " I think I will try and have that as my mantra from now on . Thank you :)

If you can tell me what I'm going to cook tomorrow it would be very helpful @jjraak , I'm straight out of ideas!

I've had the forum do this a couple of times, it happens if you come back to yesterdays opened page, it always makes me laugh as well. :)

I woke up with a nice 5.2 and a straightish line through the night.

I thinks it's courgetti & prawns...

But my crystal ball isn't entirely clear . .. ;)

6.4 this morning.

We have had a wonderfully relaxing day and feel so much better for it.

The nurse at A&E did say that if I overdid it last week I would feel very tired, and she was so right. Am back to normal now and luckily I have a really long break.between classes tomorrow.
