What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Just back from the Health Centre, legs all bandaged up again. When I got in to see the nurse, she told me that I had another appointment, immediately after hers, with another nurse. Pity nobody thought to tell me about it. Turned out to be the diabetes nurse and it was my 6 monthly review. BP taken - it's good apparently, blood taken for HBa1c test so I'll get that result some time soon, maybe. That was it - not exactly an in depth review, but I suppose that box was ticked for their records.

Finally stopped feeling sick on the way home, so once here, had some breakfast. Not intending to do very much for the rest of the day although I really must tidy up a bit in the bedroom after Neil moved some stuff around for me yesterday.

Started feeling sick while in the shower and am currently sipping water to try to calm it all down. It's leg bandaging day today again as well as taking stuff to the dump day for Neil. Luckily, not much shopping needed.

Chest XRay tomorrow to see if my lungs have cleared yet. My resting pulse rate is still ridiculously low (for me). Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. At least I still have a pulse, so shouldn't complain.

5.9 this morning.

Busy day so far again today but am having a lovely bit of relaxing and reading and drinking coffee on my recliner chair in the conservatory before setting off to Norwich for classes.

Am enjoying learning and teaching the new stuff but it is frying my brain a little bit (or maybe quitea lot)
 
I'm going to tell you a known truth.
I despise with a passion............ nose hair!

7.6 on the temperature thermometer thingy.

And another thing.......... cutting toe nails.
And another one............. orange.

Anywho, life goes on.

there is a good chance, I may get some sleep tomorrow or at the weekend. Then I wake up and it's a dream.

Good morning everyone on surprise, surprise, another wet and windy start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.7 this a.m. according to the modern, flashy, no mess reading of the entrails.
Recently.
A birthday happened - Mrs Miggins has notched up another eon of unknown volume - or length - or something. Time is tricky and probably depends upon how fast you are traveling. Also something to do with red shift (is that an item of clothing?).
A change of car - Mrs Miggins has changed her broom! I need to spend some time this weekend fitting an outside socket - there is a long 18mm drill bit sulking in the garage somewhere due to lack of use so that will brighten up its day.
Some strange, feint sounds were made by Mrs Miggins on the lines of; “as you will be doing that, can you fit one in the back garden as …….mumble mumble mumble”. My hearing off surge protector suddenly kicked in.
Diabetic eye screening - well the photos didn’t come out well - all sort of bleary Kodak instamatic. So, I now need to go to where they have a different camera and those umbrella type light reflectors so that my eyes can Vogue!
Hope your days are still all inclusive - I best make some koffy and kick start the day.

BG at 04.45 was 7.9.

I got part of my bedroom sorted out yesterday, but there's still plenty to do. Things are getting thrown out - no point keeping all the junk (still keeping most, but not all).

Last night I decided to use both sides of my bed. 01.00 to 03.15 on my left side. Woke with sore hips and needing the toilet. So when I decided to try to get more time in bed, I went to the other side to lay on my right side. Very uncomfortable, but I got back to sleep until 04.00 when it got to be too much to sleep through. Then, of course, I realised that I had been still for too long and was very doddery - sufficient to make sure I had my alarm in my pocket before attempting to get to the kitchen. It wasn't the best idea ever, going back to bed.

Getting ready to go for my XRay and see if they can still see any problem with my lungs.

More changes to Mrs L 's meds. It just doesn't stop.

Woke with an horrendous migraine, my vision is just about decent enough to come on here.

Still morning,
Wish you all a good one ,though been up six hours, to beat the Dawn fennel person, that mucks about with my blood glucose.Ha! 5.6 on the meter.
 
8.4 at 02.30 today (went to bed at midnight, so couldn't expect to last out much longer than that). Currently sitting in the 6's.

Still haven't managed to sort my bedroom out - been sorting through what is there to see what could go to the bin, to the charity shop, to DIL as spare fabric for her sewing business. A bit sore on the hands and shoulders, but it is getting done, bit by bit. I'm not getting rid of my sewing machines - Neil's perfectly capable of using them if necessary and, once he's on his own here, the need might arise, but there are lots of sewing bits and pieces that he's never going to use (lace, ribbon, fancy buttons etc) and DIL might be able to make use of them as well as some silky fabric and some heavy cotton for patching, some rich, red velvet and some fine floral fabric (can't see Neil making himself a rose patterned shirt).
