What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

6.2 this morning
Another wonderful day with family.
We took Bonnie to the Bushy Tails dog park. We hired the field for an hour and daughter was very impressed with Bonnie's recall when l used the whistle.

Have eaten sushi for the first time ever. Not sure if I would have it again

Morning all on Holy Saturday. The Harrowing of Hell is not often mentioned in the Easter story here in the UK. Meanwhile, anyone here seen spring or did Carol Kirkwood take it with her as a memento? My Fbg was 4.6. According to the latest Libre POTUS style briefing I am achieving all my objectives. @Krystyna23040 I'm glad you had a wonderful day with family. @alf_Josiah there is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact its all dark :playful: @Annb hug for the bank and browser issues. The not cross bun bread and butter pudding went well. #1 son woke me with a phone call asking if I still wanted some gentrified baked goods :woot: Grocery delivery incoming. Have a great day and peace be with you.
Actually - you're right Ian. I don't know when I last heard that part of the story being quoted or even referred to in any way. It usually jumps from the crucifixion straight to the resurrection. Interesting. Maybe it isn't to modern tastes. Or maybe it wasn't an acceptable idea to save all those sinners in Hell, including Adam. But isn't that what is promised by Christian churches? So it can't be that. Could it just be that there is no direct reference to it in the Bible and it is just another tradition?

I have to admit, I thought the "tallow" was an April Fool's joke, but I happened across it on Amazon yesterday and it is real enough. Nothing wrong with animal fats in the diet, but I think we can probably do better these days for skin treatments. Not that I have ever been able to use skin treatments or any cosmetics for that matter since reacting to them in my teens. Soap and water is about the limit, and sometimes just water, when it comes to my face.

Anyway BG at 03.00 today, after a cup of warm milk at midnight, was 6.3, dropping before long to 4.7 but a cup of tea brought it up to 5.3. I suppose I should do something about breakfast now.

Spent the last hour trying to figure out why my Browser wouldn't let me into a part of my bank account. Turns out the bank hasn't updated its security certificate so the Browser won't have anything to do with it. Very remiss of them.
I have issues also and can only use Neals Yard and Weleda on my skin @Annb
Hope you get into your bank account very soon. So frustrating that the bank hasn't updated its security certificate.

Morning all and Happy Easter. HIRI - A. 4.7 fbg here today even after "Gentrified" HCBs and cheese straws delivered by #1 son yesterday. Thanks be to God. Men's boat race went well and the imposter North London football team lost so good day sportwise - for some. Beef for Sunday lunch since I read a bible passage (Levitcus 16:6) that I feel made that more appropriate and we had lamb last week. Apparently, the sunshine has been returned to BBC weather and may make an appearance in these parts during the week. Personally, I'm not sure 19°C counts as anything other than not quite as cold but YMMV. Ne'er cast a clout till May be out and for cricketers, never cut in May still seems very wise advice. I hope storm Dave has not caused people too many problems. Enjoy Easter Sunday especially any egg hunts with children. Peace be with you all.

5.8 at 03.15 today. It didn't stay there long and after a rather unwise breakfast it topped out at 12.4. Then, after remedial action it dropped to 3.3! Back under control now (I hope) and into the 4's.

The day here started out bright and sunny but I think Dave is clipping us on its way past. Heavy, icy showers and grey skies are the order of the day now with a side of a hefty breeze - nowhere near the 90 mph we were warned of yet, but we'll see what happens.

Morning all from a sunny but not warm L.A. My fbg was 5.2 by the time I thought to check so gentrified baked goods made some impact but not a major disaster. Family meal chez #1 son today minus the Winchester 5. #3 son's V large dog won a prize yesterday - best mixed breed (Neopolitan Mastiff and Dogue de Bordeaux). I suspect the judges were frightened to do any other than award Hugo the prize. Enjoy Monday and peace be with you.

Good morning everyone on this bright and sunny start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.9 this a.m. - of course it was, we made chicken ramen with noodles yesterday.

A big explore yesterday which included collecting garlic leaves in the wood. Not very pungent at the moment as the plants have not flowered yet. Still, they added to the ramen broth. Then, down to the beach for a while before heading home and putting my feet up after over 13,000 recorded steps .

This morning it’s a visit to a local museum where there is a dinosaur exhibition and lots of activities for the children to take part in. Swimming this afternoon.

Hope your day is a good one, it’s a crazy world out there and now populated with an over abundance of chocolate rabbits and eggs. Our grandchildren have been gifted loads but are really not that interested in them - might go to the food bank later this week.

Koffy. I shall drink koffy and think how lucky those astronauts are being so far away from Trumpty Dumpty.

Morning

Fbg low 7's (7.4)

No real reason

Fil burst his appendix other day, so Laurens been busy busy visiting etc.

Surgery seems to have more invasive than first expected .

Still awaiting fuller details, but he's awake & fully compus mentus, if a little sore.
And the new update of another two weeks in hospital didn't go down too well

But even he knows , he's in the best place right now.

A little Ai piece caught my eye
Might be of interest to others as well.?

Morning all from a sunny LA where the next few days may resemble spring like weather. Fbg here was 4.3 possibly as I ate very little yesterday after PB for breakfast. The family meal was very carby. Various Pizza's deliciously homemade by Nonna. I ate one small piece and some salad. We ate outside - you can call me Al - which was pleasant while the sun lasted but became cold later. @jjraak hug for Lauren and FIL but as you say definitely the right place for him just now. @dunelm kudos on the step count and a packed and varied few days with the grandchildren. We have two grandchildren here for the rest of the week. Peace be with you all.

Hug for FiL. I hope the time in hospital isn't going to be too tedious for him, but, as you say, right now it is best for him to be there.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and others, Tuesday is my woke day.
Blood sugars this morning were 7.8

I dare say Mrs J who doesn’t like my woke day and if I read this posting out to her, well I best say after all this is an all encompassing site

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen

Blood sugars this morning were 4.8, for me, me’s and myself this level is not good, but now is a more comfortable 6.6 .

Now one of expression that I said to a couple of physios in hospital that were checking to see if I could negotiate stairs before being sent home ,
one a lady and one a gentleman “ Good morning Lady and Gentleman, if you are not sure of your gender, please check, but not each other another and not in pubic “ they laughed so much that I passed the test and was sent home.
Have a good day all.

Morning all on what promises to be an almost mild day here in L.A. My FBG today was 4.7, blood pressure 123/74 and weight 73.9 kgs so BMI 22.7. Moving on, 4 grandchildren here today which is a blessing. This sensor ends in 5 days so I may not post for a while after perhaps Friday. These sensors seem unreliable towards the end and I have a CT scan (results/feedback via phone around May 8th, which is the anniversary of my parents' death) arranged for the 17th so I won't be fitting a new one before that. If you are blessed with the sun today enjoy with care. Peace be with you.

10.7 at 02.40. Very short night so it can't be called a fasting level. Still, it's all I've got from before my first cup of coffee. 13.3 just now - just after a fairly (resistant) carby breakfast. Insulin might kick in soon and bring it down a bit.

Feeling back to normal this morning so I am eating again - and able to drink tea.

I've thought of another place to search to see if my missing documents (house deeds and will) are there, so that is today's task.

6.2 this morning.
Weather was so lovely and warm today.
Started planning what I will teach next week and looking through training videos on my Professional Body's website. So good that they give us so much information.. A very enjoyable day.
Now I am relaxing and drinking coffee. Even more enjoyable

It was so funny today. When I watch the training videos on my PC and my sister is on the other computer doing admin I always use headphones so I don't disturb her concentration.

They are quite bulky headphones and last time I used them I found the perfect place to store them

You wouldn't believe it. I didn't have a clue where that was
today. Luckily I found them in the end. Hopefully I will remember where they are tomorrow
