What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Was very impressed with Seimans customer service

We couldn't open our washing machine after a wash. I had somehow activated the child lock and we couldn't deactiva it.

Phoned Seimans to book an engineers visit and the person we spoke to said before we book a visit he would help us over the phone.

Turns out we had misread the instruction booklet. So all was sorted in less than 5 minutes. Thank goodness.

Yes, I've done both of those! I didn't see the horses performing there, but have seen the interior, and have seen the horses in their stables - and a few weeks later saw them performing at Wembley! And we went on the ferris wheel back in 2017. This is the first time we've stayed for more than about 36 hours, I think; actually one trip was 3 days, I think, but most of it was spent in the ice rink watching some elite skating friends perform, so we only had a few hours' sightseeing each day. It's going to be lovely having a more relaxed visit.

We saw them perform at the Spanish Riding School. It was magical. We also enjoyed watching people skate on the ice rink in front of the City Hall

Morning all. Fbg of 5.0 today - a day late for the anniversary of the the first airing (1968) on CBS (Hawaii Five-0) Not sure I ever watched it unlike a certain long time poster here. The temperature here is predicted to reach 22 C today and may make mid 20s tomorrow and stay similar all week. More wonderful blue skies here so thanks be to God but sorry for rubbing it in @Annb. Vienna sounds wonderful @Krystyna23040 and @Mrs Redboots. Peace be with you all.

Steak with a Cafe de Paris sauce - Creme Fraiche sauce not butter - tomatoes and salad. All ingredients supplied with large recipe cards. I think the plan is to build a collection of recipes that work for both of us then buy our own ingredients. I wouldn't normally eat sirloin steak (prefer ribeye) nor demand Cafe de Paris style?/influenced? taragon (I did really like the herbs on tv) sauce on Sunday evening - doesn't scream NFL type food to me. I wouldn't grudge you the fine weather you are enjoying, so don't worry about rubbing it in.
 
I'm afraid I'm going to stop monitoring my blood glucose level. I ran out of strips, and because it was cheaper to buy a new monitor rather than more test strips, I bought a new - different - monitor. Which does not work! And thinking about it, testing myself over the past 6 weeks, my levels have remained stable and within a very healthy range, so I'm not sure I quite see the point of going on. For now, anyway. I was going to stop next week for three weeks while we're away, and don't think I'll bother restarting. I only really bought the kit in the first place because I thought I was having hypos when stressed, and wanted to measure this - but, needless to say, haven't had one since! I probably will next week getting ready to go away, though, so stressful! But for now - well, I may see you on other forums, otherwise stay well, stay blessed....
 
5.0 again here today. Not exactly high but above trend and part of a set of niggles which mean I need to pull out of the upcoming internationals. I have decided that from now on I will retire from playing and only work as a consultant. I've told Thomas, Baz and Steve that I am available for advice. I did offer Bobby DZ help but he has a tin ear. I wonder if Mr K and I could make a second career as sports consultants? @Annb the hug was for the cold as your fbgs lately are looking good. Peace be with you all.
 
Good afternoon all. Yesterday I sent a third triage form to my GP Centre re my ongoing sore/dry mouth explaining what the dentist had recommended and requesting that, as my HbA1c was due at 12 weeks, could they provide a blood form for it and add two extra tests to it 1) for Iron as recommended by the dentist and 2) as I'd been taking Metformin for many years, a test for Vit B12 deficiency as both can cause sore mouths. A blood form was provided but without HbA1c on it. When queried I was told it was too early so I went ahead and had the blood test for the 2 other items. (I was fortunate to get an appointment as every other health centre in the area had none available for some time). On the way home from the Phlebotomist I received a message from the GB Centre telling me my updated blood form was ready for collection! It was for all three tests including HbA1c! Oh well at least when I do get an appointment for my HbA1c I will have been on Insulin for longer so my result may be lower! This afternoon my husband has an appointment to have laser treatment on his left eye. He has already had his right eye done so we are hoping it improves his vision. It will not replace the partial sight loss in one eye caused by Glaucoma but will remove part of the capsule which holds the lens in place to let more light through. I think I am more nervous than he is! Best wishes to you all. :)
