I do love steak, it's a pity its so expensive though. Just had a big boy t-bone for lunch as a treat. I've spent an obscene amount on carnivore supplies already but figure as I won't be having the usual takeaways or getting the **** from the shops it probably balances out. Can anyone recommend...

I am on Metformin and had to go on the slow release as it was gentler on my system but again maybe not. I want to come off them and may speak to my gp about it tomorrow now I'm on the diet properly. Thanks for all the advice so far, duck eggs and steak tonight...yum

Had a load of mince beef myself today, was pretty bland to be fair but filling. Only thing I've eaten today and only now feeling hungry. Craving lamb like a mad person atm. Do you recommend any supplements by the way? Not sure if I've asked already.

So, please excuse the subject matter but I'm 4 days in and was hoping being on such a restrictive diet that my almost constant diarrhea would have settled down but hasn't. Does that mean I could be intolerant to meat?

Thank you for this, I have a lot of weight to lose as I was already too big before my injury but it's piled on since and hate calorie counting. I'm also trying to stay under 20g of carbs as I found on keto anything above this and the weight increased, slowly but surely.

Thank you so much for this, I was starting to get pretty stressed out by seeing myself going over my calories by quite a lot and thinking I wasn't going to be losing any weight etc. Obviously I will be weighing myself once a week still and can judge off of that and may actually starting taking...

Thank you, I guess my main question is about calories and nutrients. I used a keto calculator to work out what I should be having, 20g Carbs etc to lose weight and it set my calories to around 1,900. Which I've logged in to my fitness pal. What I'm finding is with eating carnivore I'm...

Fascinating thread, struggling to read through all of it today as I've had a migraine again! Never used to suffer with them but they are becoming a common occurrence, among many other things sadly. Reading through all of your posts has certainly raised a lot of questions for me but also made me...

    And... I'm back, Doh!

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it. Other than a very mild intolerance to dairy, which I still eat regularly I'm good with everything other than the above. Though not a huge fan of nuts in general. It's been a long fall off the wagon, about a year but I've kept putting off...

    Musclefood alternatives?

So with going back on my low carb/ dirty keto diet which worked so well for me last time. I'm looking to stock up on meats. I always used to use musclefood but found my last several orders haven't been of the same quality as I'd come to expect. Chicken breasts for example where full of water and...

    And... I'm back, Doh!

Hey guys, It's been quite a while since I last posted. The last time I was here I think I'd lost about 6st. My Type 2 Diabetes was in remission and while I yet didn't feel any better about myself I was able to come off of my medication . I was managing to do things quite well for a while but...

    Nailed it!!!

For full disclosure I was and still am very overweight despite being 6ft8 after working nights for years, having a very poor diet and then being injured and suffering long term mobility issues. I'm currently around 29 stone. All I've done is cut as much carbs and sugar out of my diet as humanly...

    Nailed it!!!

Thanks guys I really appreciate the kind words, I'm genuinely surprised its come down so much considering how lax I've been with things. I need to speak with my diabetic nurse about things but I'm hoping I can come off the Metformin and see how that effects me in 3 months.

    Nailed it!!!

So I've just had my first 3 monthly test results back and I've dropped from 52 all the way 34! Well into the normal none diabetic range. I've also lost just shy of 5 stone. I've done this without being fanatical about what I eat, I've eaten some carbs weekly, kept drinking my Robinsons fruit...

    Disheartening

Don't be disheartened, as others have said your blood sugars are so much better and your weight is headed in the right direction if you're looking to lose. Most will likely disagree with me here but don't deny yourself the occasional carby treat so long as it is occasional. I give myself one...

Help! Weight seems to be shooting up daily!

I've lost over 4 stone since I started and am more than happy with that, so far I'm also 6ft 8 and have always had a big appetite. Not sure if I'm being sensitive or not but it feels like I'm catching a lot of criticism for my choices here despite my positive results so far. I already eat much...

Help! Weight seems to be shooting up daily!

Officially today for the first time in maybe 4 years I'm under 30 stone, 189.4kgs and the first goal I set myself. I don't think that's half bad for a little over 2 months. My next goal is to get under 180kgs so I can treat myself to something Ive wanted for years but been too heavy for. It...
