When I was diagnosed last year I wax told they would check annually, no 3-6 month checks for me, but as they had to close their list fir being oversubscribed no surprise. And of course due to covid-19 health reviews were the first thing to go out the window.

    type diagnosis

A lot of the posts talk about having their type diagnosed, but that never happened to me when i was diagnosed last year. They just gave me the advice for a type 2 without ever saying it was type 2. The reason for me being diagnosed was failing the hb1ac test twice. Do you have to have certain...

Just had a text from my GP........Cholesterol Gurus please advise!

At my surgery in England the receptionist will give out results, this is expected, . They wont obviously make any comment on the results. Sounds like this is a policy made up by your gp practice.

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

beginning 98.7 last week 96.9 this week (wk3) 96.2. -.7 ( off the wagon on weekend, lack of willpower, I think mcdonalds/crisps/coke probably doesn’t fit into a low carb diet). Next week no reward days and will not skip gym, baby steps.

    Newly diagnosed

Or more realistically the vast majority of people a nurse will see are not going to have the level of commitment of the people who visit a site like this. No point advising low carb diets if most if the people they see probably arnt going to follow them.
