    Frustration with numbers

At 6:30 sugar was 9.6. Had 1 slice of toast with peanut butter at 7:30. Did a little exercise. In the morning. Checked sugar before lunch it is now 10.5. Now I am depressed and don’t want to eat but now am hungry. Normal for me is in the high sixes and low sevens. Just can’t get on an even keel...

    Trouble signing in

I have lots of trouble signing in even though I checked the box (stay signed in). If I can’t get in at all I try to create a new account but it says my information is already in use. Is there and easy way to check if I have more than one account and password. It says Facebook sign in is not...

    Confused

I had egg bits for breakfast and 2 hrs later bs 7.9. Read on this site that drink water and take a walk would help. So that is what I did but an hour later bs up to 9.7. I don’t know what to do, is it slow metabolism or a liver dump? Frustrated this stuff is stressing me out which raises my bs...

    Motivation

I have fallen off the sugar wagon and can’t get back on. I don’t have a confidant. Getting very tired with all the fall yard work and nothing to reward myself with but food. Any suggestions?

    Understanding the numbers

I had an egg bite for breakfast. It is a thing here in Canada. It’s egg peppers onions basil cottage cheese bacon and or cheese baked in the over. It has zero carbs and a good amount of protein. My bs was 8.2 two hours after. I went on stressful errand then did an hour of heavy yard work. I...

    Liver dumping sugar

Can anyone explain the process of your liver dumping sugar into your blood. I know it happens during the night and I have solved that problem with a late protein snack. Can it happen between breakfast and lunch if you don’t snack? Getting discouraged by huge bs even with a proper breakfast.

    Cutting animal protein

I have been very successful cutting carbs and eating more animal protein. I have defeated the sunrise syndrome with a protein snack before bed. I didn’t want to eat animal protein but am afraid to up my complex carbs significantly to compensate. I have been vegan and eat 30 Grams of whole...

    Type 2 Diabetes and cholesterol

I have managed to eliminate sunrise syndrome by eating a late night protein snack. I have also been eating generally more meat than I would like. I have been vegan and like it but the carb question is bothering me. My last blood work shows elevated cholesterol. Can I go vegan and keep my bs and...

    Sunrise syndrome

My morning sugar run quite high. 8 to as high as 10. Very upsetting. My Naturopathic Doctor said my snack at bed time was too small and incorrect (half an apple and cheese). She suggested eggs or celery and peanut butter or meat and olives. I tried all of these over a few days and my sugar is...

    Stress

Today would have been my husband’s birthday and I have not eaten a single thing incorrectly. Oatmeal at 6 am tested before lunch and it’s 9.2. Makes me not want to eat ever again. I am hungry. It was 8.5 yesterday after Pilates. Exercise and stress seem to be bad for me. That can’t be true...

    When to test

I have been advised to check sugar once daily. Morning was suggested but I suffer from ‘sunrise syndrome’ so the reading would be skewed upwards and not a true reflection of the number. I don’t normally test except for a 3 month A1C because up and down numbers upsets me and causes me to lose...
