    Thanks for the swift responses!!! Bluetit, I try not too eat following my evening meal (around 6pm) and usually check my bloods within an hour of waking...admittedly after a shower etc and sometimes when I arrive in work!! I will check as soon as I open my eyes and see what the results are!!!

    I am using a meter and do my best to eat to it and also know the majority of foods that will give me double figure readings so can avoid those now!!! I have lost 2 stone and feel great but really need this morning read to be lower!!

    Well then....diagnosed T2 Nov 15 with a reading of 57 (9.2mmol). A few changes later and my result last month was 46 (7.6mmol)!!! Now I know any decrease is a success and really well earned but just how much of a result is this?? Also, why can't I get my wake up bloods any lower than 7.5...
