    I don't know what I'm doing!

I'll add my HBA1C was 48 before lockdown so I had reasonable control, I've gained 2 1/2 stone and my mobility is now really bad.

    I don't know what I'm doing!

The leg infection was caused by my kitten scratching my ankle. It was a really superficial cut, I once had cellulitus from a shaving cut so I'm sure if I wasn't diabetic then it would have just healed in a day or two. I had no idea that milk was so high in sugar, especially as it is the only...

    I don't know what I'm doing!

I'm 45, female. Very fat, 150kg and last HBA1C was 84. I got a leg infection this week which terrified the life out of me. I decided to fast for a day to get my sugars down to fight the infection. It went well so I tried another day and now I'm on day 4. I have no idea if this is sustainable...

She referred urgently to ophthalmologist and I have an appointment next Monday. Going blind is my worst nightmare, this is especially bad...

    Peripheral neuropathy?

I had never heard of alpha lipoic acid before, but will get hold of some and give it a try. I've got a dietician appointment in a couple of weeks, she was going to contact the hospital diabetes team for advice on meds etc. Until I talked to her a few weeks ago I didn't even know what my blood...

    Peripheral neuropathy?

Thanks. I have lost 10lb and been swimming twice a week lately, which has brought my sugars down slightly. I'm intending on continuing with this but also wondering if something more drastic like the 8 week blood sugar diet would help.

    Peripheral neuropathy?

I'm 42, been type 2 for 5 years. Last HBA1C was 57 I think. I've had problems with numbness and tingling in my legs for over a year now. It was initially diagnosed as sciatica but I went back to my GP yesterday and after examining my legs she said she thinks it is peripheral neuropathy. I'm...
