Moving back to injections from a pump... anyone experienced this?

I've been on the Omnipod for just over a year now. I can totally understand you. I have became so lazy and started guessing the amount of carbs and giving myself either too much insulin or not enough. When I was on injections, I had perfect and tight control and the fact that we have a bit more...

HIGH blood sugar and getting a pump hopefully

Hi :) I was diagnosed when I was 15 and now I'm 17. How long was it since your diagnosis? As soon as I was diagnosed, I instantly got the support and help from my hospital. I had my nurse come over to my house, had regular meetings and a few weeks later, my blood sugar levels were excellent...

Hi :) I will do, I am just very confused because whenever I go to a theme park with bigger rollercoasters, I never experience anything with my pump. Thanks for the advice :D

    Constant pump failure at work

There are 2 roller coasters within the park but my ride is just a balloon ride which goes round in a circle and then goes up into the air. I'm also close to the control box daily so maybe that's the cause? I'm very confused. Yesterday my pump was fine, no problems. It's whenever it's on my leg...

    Constant pump failure at work

Hi guys, So I am currently on the Omnipod and have been since February last year. I've not really had any problems with it at all, maybe the odd few times where my pump will break and do that continuous beep until I stop it and change my pump. Anyway, I started working as a Ride Operator a...

    Hair loss

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and of course you losing your hair! Let me tell you a story - I've always had really long, thick curly hair and months before my diagnosis, my hair was falling out in clumps and by October my hair was completely thin and felt like straw. I got many nasty...

    Type 1 Late period!

Hi guys, Currently I have been having very irregular periods, but they haven't been that big of a gap. Maybe 3-5 days. 3 months ago, it started on the 15th. After that, it started around 5 days later (I was really concerned and even went for a pregnancy test which showed up negative)... This...

What's the lowest hypo value you're ever had?

I'm not sure what my lowest has been. On my Libre, it's read LO (not sure what that means) and I did feel quite disorientated lol.

Went and my bloods were excellent all throughout the whole day. Even ate a massive waffle smothered in Nutella and ice cream and guessed the carbs and I didn't go high or low :p

    Type 1 Rollercoasters and Diabetes

Thanks everyone for the responses :) My mum double checked by calling up the diabetic consultant I usually see and she said the Omnipod and Libre should be no issue, she also wrote a letter from the hospital saying I should be able to skip the queues in case I go into a hypo! Lol!
