Are you going to get vaccinated?

Agree if the numbers are accurate. No one knows for susre here. Yes my chances are low living in a small village, but a vaccine would hopefully keep me out of hospital. A hospital stay can bankrupt you here if insurance doesn't pay up.

Are you going to get vaccinated?

Thanks that's interesting. I have an identical twin in Scotland who got his 2 Pfizer jabs months ago with no side effects, so that is definitely my favourite for now. Same diabetes, same DNA, less risky?

Are you going to get vaccinated?

Good question, for me the answer is 'I don't know yet'. I am retired in Thaiand have Type 2 but no medication since going LCHF a few years ago. However the vaccination plan here is shambolic to be polite. The government here states publicly that all are entitled to a free vacination but in...

Anyone here recover from burning feet and/or hands?

All through this condition I walk at least 5 km per day - walking actually soothes any discomfort - if it wasn't so hot here I would walk further!

Anyone here recover from burning feet and/or hands?

Yes interesting I too have COke No Sgar most days. THen I read this https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/03/health/diet-soda-carb-interaction-wellness/index.html If it's correct as long as you stay low carb it should be ok. I often wonder what's the next thing I will have to give up :)

Anyone here recover from burning feet and/or hands?

Reading all the posts it seems we are still in the dark with this condition and possible treatments. I have had neuropathy in both feet/legs for 4 years and would say my sugar control has been good for the last 2 years at least. Lots of positive changes but the neuropathy just won't go. I...

    Peripheral neurophy

Hi, I have been on very LCHF (keto) for over 2 years now and feel I am now in remission as far as the type 2 diabetes goes. I am 20Kg lighter, more active and daily fasting blood sugar around 100 (5.5). I generally feel good. Despite this relatively long period of improvements, I still have...

Anyone managed to get rid of neuropathy in their feet?

Thought I would resurrect my post of 15 months ago as I am still having the same issue with neuropathy. It's no worse or no better. It's bearable but I want rid of it. To recap I am now more than 2 years on lchf and have managed to stay at my target weight and no longer take statins or...

    Multivitamins

Thank you for your input. Sorry my post was a little devoid of information. Type 2, on keto 2 years, 90% of weight gone, off metformin and statins a year ago. Don't feel as 'energetic' as I should be by now though walk 5 km a day but still feel stiff and tired. Sleep well, 8 hours a night. Not...

https://th.iherb.com/pr/Nature-Made-Daily-Diabetes-Health-Pack-30-Packets-6-Supplements-Per-Packet/40425 Hi Does anyone know if these are worth a go, or should be avoided? I have tried supplements for a few things already all turned out to be totally ineffective, and as such, waste of money...

    Wondering about coming off metformin

I came off 1500 a day Metformin (and Statins) a year ago after a year on LCHF which stabilised my HBA1c and Fasting glucose. I was on them for about 8 years. I had no side effeects with them, I just have never wanted to be on meds for the rest of my life. I weaned myself of them by reducing by...

    You can't win, can you?

Interesting response thank you. I was on Metformin for a few years, prescribed AFTER i developed neuropathy in my feet. One reason I stopped. I found B12 supplements inefective and am now trying R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (R-ALA) which after 3 months is also so far ineffective. I bought these in the...

    You can't win, can you?

I have been on LCHF for almost 2 years and in my mind have made huge improvements. One such improvement is weaning myself of 1500 Mg per day of Metformin and now have a very stable daily fasting reading of around 5.5 Then last night I watched the Netflix series called 'Explained', in particular...

What to eat on OMAD - One Meal A Day?

Thanks for all the good advice and encouragement, I am definetely going to give it a go. I reckon I will start with 3 days a week as while most days I don't get hungry, I still have days where breakfast is welcome nearer 10 AM than later in the morning. Once I get past breakfast I can go easily...

Thanks. Can I ask whet time of the day was best for your eating window? At the moment I am thinking around 3 or 4 PM.

What to eat on OMAD - One Meal A Day?

Hi Type 2 - 8 years: Keto 18 months - Lost 20 Kg - 10 Kg to go: off metformin and statins 1 year I am interested on trying OMAD for a week or 2 (or longer?) to give my general health and weight loss a bit of a boost as my current LCHF programme seems to have hit a plateau (after 12 months). I...

    Eat to Live Forever.

I just watched this and noticed it was made 4 or 5 years ago so is already out of date with regards to a good way of eating healthy. The calorie couple both look like one more clean shirt will do them. The fruitarians was just a joke. Best thing I got from it is glad I don't live in America.

    Blood test results

All samples were taken with blood drawn on arrival at the lab at 5 pm. I got a whole raft done and all the others are pretty normal.

    Blood test results

Unusually it was almost 24 hours as the bus journey took much longer than scheduled so only sipped water all the trip. Normally I work on nothing to eat after 6 pm and eat around 11 am next morning

    Blood test results

Thank I will check that out. As a supplement, acerola cherry is claimed to reduce the level of uric acid in the blood. Also a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants I am interested in what foods on keto would be less prone to increase cholesterol levels.
