    I Kicked Off...

Thank you that is a good point, will discuss with my gp. I've been in 2's n 3's and not really noticed. Was in hosp for something separate and med staff noticed difference in my demeanour when in lower 3 range, but I wasn't aware.

During this time more educated on condition through forum and other means, so felt I would be more prepared on next visit. Had to ring hospital for...

Totally agree with you and second that diabetic philosophy of life... I don't know much except to say it's very harmful to the blood circulation which can be fatal, only found out yesterday so haven't looked into it.

    Testing after meal

I test premeal and was given specific times of day to test when discharged from hosp. I'm on insulin so not sure if that makes a difference. Use jazz machine given free on discharge, was paying for meds but doctor has since sorted out exemption so all meds are now free.

    4 Different Readings

Libre gives print outs!! That's handy don't think mine does or not that anyone's told me...a reason to consider switching. Your information is an eye opener, beginning to understand how intricate a matter this condition is. Thank you so much for sharing!

    4 Different Readings

Thanks Cherry...with not being long diagnosed the Jazz monitor is the only one used, but I've read many posts where the libre is commonly used. Is it a better monitor in your opinion?

    4 Different Readings

Had lunch around 1pm today, was late by an hour for dinner usually have around 6pm, so had hunger pangs and was a little worried fasting reading would be low. It was 7.9 which was unusually high, normally would be around low 5's. So decided to take it again, now dropped to 5.4 in a minute...so...

Hi Leigh lots of good advice already given. Newly diagnosed in Jan where my reading was 40+ by time I left hosp my levels had dropped just below 30. It took 3wks to get my levels below 10, the diabetic nurse would ring each week and my insulin would be adjusted. 3mths on I'm between 4 - 7.5. It...
