I am 80 years old, and having type 2 diabetes form 30 years. My fbg levels are always fluctuating from 57 mg/dl to 140 mg/dl, for the same diet, and insulin dosage.

One day I got a hypo of 57 mg/dl at 03-30 hrs. Next day I got a hyper of 141 mg/dl fasting value for the same diet, and insulin dosage. I do not understand the reason for this!

If you are a type 2 diabetic, you can eat your normal daily diet, which you are accustomed. It is not necessary to eat LCHF diet. However, you should control the portion size of your diet to less than 120 carbs per day, and take insulin/medicines of required dosage. This is my personal opinion...
