    Just in case anyone in the future read this, I want to update. My husband has now been back on Metformin for over 2 weeks, he feels better and his readings are good. :thumbup: Doctors kept telling us that this could not be achieved after having been on insulin!

    Thank you, both! As I have been concerned about my husband's decision to return to Metformin, I guess that I became rather stressed!! Insulin was not agreeing with him in many ways. He has now been on the pills again for a good few days and his BG readings are good and he feels fine so far...
