2016/17 Football Season

Three-nil to Palace: that's really poor  though I did say that we would probably struggle. Perhaps I should set up in competition to Mystic Meg.

I'm off to sulk for a while .......

My sulk lasted 10 minutes
I was too cold to think about sulking much

In fairness Rochdale outplayed us throughout the game and missed a sitter

Pleased we played the ball on the ground for most of the game without resorting to hoofball

Bad luck Southampton and Hudds
Tranny top is that right

5-1 v West Ham, well happy with that :D It will take a while for the Hammers to get used to their new stadium. It felt like a European match as we were so far back from the pitch.

Went to see the Christmas lights afterward too. :)

At last you tried which is more than can be said for our lot :D

Good do all round then :)

We drawn Port Vale in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Now we ought to beat them but the way we are playing at the moment that could be a win for them. No bad thing though cos then we could concentrate soley on the league which is where it matters. We need to start performing before we slip further down and end up with a big mountain to climb.

Who's everyone got tomorrow ? we are home to Bristol City. We really need to win it cos Bristol are 3 points behind us and Derby 1 point and Fulham 2 Getting serious now.

Good luck everyone hope you get a good result :)

We've got Middlesbrough at St Mary's. Should be a walk in the park. Just like Palace should have been last weekend.

We were dumped out of the Europa League last night. Probably just as well, to be honest - we really need to concentrate on the Premiership, and the EFL (League) Cup, and the FA Cup without everyone getting knackered flying all over Europe .....

(Edit: Good luck, everyone :))

Luton Town away
A place where we have a terrible record

Good luck for your teams this weekend

We've got Wrexham in the FA trophy, think we're taking over a thousand to this derby game! A break from the league!

Went to Everton last night to watch Rovers youth get beat 2-0.
The lads were brilliant and did the club proud.
Not bad for a level three academy!
If the lads had a bit more luck on some decisions and hit the net instead of the woodwork, it could have been a huge shock.
Over a thousand turned up to watch the game both sets of supporters sat in the same stand. A really good game to boot as well!

Hope all our teams do well this weekend!

We could have a free Saturday next week as our opponents might not be allowed to play in the FA trophy tomorrow, because the FA are having an enquiry into a game in the previous round. As the trophy takes precedence, our game v Lincoln will be postponed.
It will be so weird not to be playing so often. Mind you it could be our winter break and spend pre Christmas games in Spain or the Caribbean! (Why not?)

I wondered why i couldn't see Tranmere in todays fixture lists.

We hung on and won 2-1. When we scored and then they scored i thought here we go again lol. Thank god we scored the winner and puts us nicely in 4th with Burton on Tuesday and Norwich on Friday then a little Xmas break.

Carlisle drew not the result Cumberland was after but still better than losing :)

We had a comfortable 1-0 win at Wrexham.
We do have Lincoln next week, they are playing midweek.
So looking forward to this game.

Well done Terriers, as John says a point is better than nothing!

At least you will have a pre Christmas game to look forward to then.:)

Well, we beat Middlesbrough one-nil, and so we jolly well should have done. His first Premiership goal (he's also scored in an EFL Cup game) for Sofiane Boufal, a club record signing at £16 million, so that's 8 million quid per goal so far - although in fairness, he was injured when he came to St Mary's and has spent most of the season getting fit again.

Back in the top 10, onwards and upwards .....

Well we beat Burton Albion the other night. Its took 85 mins to do it and it propelled us in to 4th place. Tonight we play Norwich at Carrow road and we will be looking to get another 3 points though it will be a tough game and might have to settle for a point and hope that the chasing pack lose tomorrow. :)

Good Luck to all those playing this weekend.Hope you all get a good result :)
