2017/2018 Football Season

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner said his side are halfway to Premier League survival after their 4-1 win at Watford.
"We are in the race [to stay up] and nobody thought we would be - this is what makes us happy," said Wagner.

"You need 12 wins I believe to stay up and we have six.

Sounds promising. Surely w can scrape the other 6 wins out of the remaining 20 games. Lets start with the Sounthampton clash next week then we'd only need 5 :D:D

Can't believe it!
Don't believe it!
Floodlights failed!
Gutted!
Gotta go back again this week or do we?
No one knows!
What a complete disaster!
We were winning as well!

Well done udders and macams!
Unlucky Carlisle, he always scored against us as well!

You'll probably have to replay it if not this coming week then the week after. Its horrible to think that you could have been in the next round. Kinda prolongs the agony. Hope you do it on the next game.

There is only this week to replay mate, totally booked up!
We may have to rearrange a league fixture!
It should be Tuesday back down there but they might be able to guarantee it won't happen again!
We have offered to play at our place but we also have u23s (Liverpoo) on Tuesday night. It's an obligation that the club want to keep. So it could be either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday this week, somewhere!!
I would play the game midday on Tuesday but that is not fair on those who travelled on Saturday to go back again!
It was a very low turnout, someone said it could have been a post wwII record!
Of course money comes into it, and whatever they sort out, can't see any club making money on the tie.
Then there is the weather! Been absolutely bouncing down all morning, thinking of getting my kayak out to go shopping. Our pitch could do without this wet and windy weather at the moment!

But that is footie! Always unpredictable, what's the betting that we get beat.
It happened to Rovers about twenty years ago at swindle. We were winning 2-0 and there was a floodlights failure and we lost the rearranged game. If we had won that game we would have been promoted. History would have changed.

Ho hum!

Tin pot springs to mind

Monday night at their place!
I do believe that now the only day this calender year we haven't played is a Thursday!
What a weird week this we be!
Hope it is a bit warmer than yesterday's match, still snow on the ground!! Brrr!

Watford FC fans have heaped praise on their Huddersfield Town counterparts for the incredible atmosphere they produced at Vicarage Road yesterday afternoon.

After failing to score since the opening day of the season, the Terriers' travelling support could hardly believe their eyes as their side raced into a 2-0 lead at half-time.

And while David Wagner's men impressed on the pitch to eventually run-out 4-1 winners, Town's travelling Blue White Army excelled off it.

Now that's what I call good opposition fans. Its not often you hear fans of the opposing team say nice things especially when their team has just been trounced. Well done Watford fans a credit to the game.

Good luck hope you win this time.

Boss David Wagner has told a national TV audience a lack of Premier League experience is helping Huddersfield Town, not hindering them.

On a special Goals on Sunday guest appearance, Wagner was reminded Tom Ince was the only player with top-flight pedigree in the starting eleven on opening day at Crystal Palace.

The Terriers Head Coach explained the constraints on him in the August window and the dangers of negative Premier League experience.
“Before the season, we made the decision to go without experience,” he said. “We were not able to buy experience, it was too expensive for us.

“We have had to turn no experience into an advantage. Get players who are hungry and greedy for success.
“We know exactly what size of a club we are, but we are a Terrier and we keep fighting.”

Yes I think a lot of us are surprised how well we have handled the Premier league life. We certainly havent got anywhere near the amount of money that most Premier League clubs have but we have turned that to our advantage which is a big surprise. It would be shame to see us go back down so hopefully we can get a few more wins under our belts and stop up. He's certainly right we will keep fighting to the bitter end. UTT :singing::D

Blimey I'd never have come up with all that lot. I would have just said the usual's like Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Donny, Barnsley, Both Sheffs, York. There is also Grimsby they are in the Yorkshire TV area as are Lincoln and Chesterfield silly as it seems. :D:D

We have our 2nd round FA cup replay at BP tonight versus Gillingham

Sheffield Wed at home is the reward for tonight’s winners
