2022/23 Football Season.

Sheffield United's promotion rivals Norwich City are set to appoint a new manager. Former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner is expected to be announced in the next 24 hours.

Now there's a turn up for the books. We get to play Norwich on 15th March so Wagner will be on the opposite bench. Interesting.

How many managers last more than a season now?

Football weekend again. A trip to Deepdale for our lads tomorrow afternoon to face Preston in the cup. We beat em the other week in the league but a cup is a different matter. I say let them have it. We need to get a shift on in the league or its league 1 next season.

We drew 2-2, should have won but so nearly lost it did to goalkeeping errors.
Bad start, going one down early doors, got back in with a good finish before half time.
came out second half on top and got the lead, however our keeper mis timed a save, and it went in. On ninety minutes they had a corner which our keeper came for and missed, centre back cleared of line.
Good contest, pity about the two points dropped!
 
At home to Walsall today.
We have offloaded four players including our keeper, with a midfielder coming in from the Vale.
Gonna be tough.

Oh dear we finished up drawing. I knew that would happen but they scored in the 8th minute of stoppages. Other wise we would have won. Oh well we are 4 points off escaping. Still a lot of work to do. Next up an away tie with Blackpool next Saturday.

A free kick after a former player of ours got sent off, equalised.

I think our season is finished, despite it being in January, a mini clear out of dead wood, can't see any way we can either go up or go down!

Pitch inspection at Livie 15:00, 4th official states it's good to go. Utd manager says the all weather pitch is frozen and not safe to play on.

18:30 Pitch inspection, it's colder than at 15:00..... match postponed.

Fans and pie sellers out of pocket again.

I do believe that the majority of clubs now have insurance to cover these matchday costs.
The lies should go to some shelter or care homes!
