Hello. Im a 50 year old male, and have been diagnosed 5 years now, and have had a Trush problem that's going round my groin. I have tried all the creams and ointments, but it will not go away. Any thoughts would be most grateful.
What @LittleGreyCat says. Thrush is typically a problem when you are running extended high blood glucose levels and disappears pretty quickly as you bring it back under control.
I agree that you ned to check your blood sugar. Anything around more than 11 mmol will cause the kidneys to dump glucose. I had this problem shortly before diagnosis and the stupid GP didn't realise this is a very common symptom of diabetes and just prescribed a fungicide cream. Unfortunately the cream only partially works because the glucose causes the candida to keep coming back. Get the blood sugar down and I would expect the problem to disappear.
