Well tomorrow Im taking eldest daughter to get a dress for her graduation ball.

Andy,
Paul is WELL impressed and says come and ride with TeamBG for a stage of the ride - stage 2 and 3 still have a couple of places left. Get cracking and you should be able to raise enough sponsorship to cover the entry fee too! It would be such an awesome adventure!

How lovely!
That will be so much fun!
Do you have an excuse to play dress-up yourself? I always get hot and flustered trying on - must burn loads of calories! Plus you will get to prance about in ball gowns together!

Fantastic news Mrs Vimes!

Sorry you felt bad Pipp.X

Absolutely useless yesterday - (bottom lip juts out like a helicopter landing pad)
Ended up working all day, and the only exercise I got was to work off my bingo wings for a few minutes trimming the hedges.
This morning I'm off on a bike ride though - and I'm already being shouted at to get off the pesky forum and get my shorts on!
Catch you all later! xx Have a fantastic day everyone!

Enjoy your ride.
This is addictive lol

Ha ha haaaa!!

..Daughter coming down today so I won't be out walking as I don't know what time she'll be here...am going to look on YouTube and get some ideas for exercises on there that I can do here at home today...but not when my son-in-law's here, he would have hysterics laughing lol....

..hope you're feeling better today Pipp..

Trimming hedges sounds like exercise to me. Claim those minutes.

Pipp I wouldn't have thought of using the garden furniture for a workout that is a cracking idea. I've gone through the last 20 years doing b@@@er all exercise because I've got no imagination.
So the personal trainer had me standing on one leg with the knee up on the other to then lean forward in a superman pose while moving the leg off the ground backwards. For balance (or he was just laughing at me!). I fell over so many times I must have registered on those earthquake detector thingies.
To practice, I was doing superman during the adverts of Miss Marple. Had to move the coffee table away and stood well back from the telly to minimise damage.
Still trying to work out how I hit the light above?

(GRILLED JELLY- rofl when I read that. Very healthy)

I am feeling better today, thank you.
Have already put in 30 mins walking round the shops. I was holding a supermarket trolley to stay upright, and it was slow moving. If this sounds like a cop out because it doesn't sound like exercise, please be gentle with me. I have a wheelchair that I cannot use because the good old NHS just saw fat girl with diabetes when they assessed me for it. Ignored the fact that the fat girl with diabetes was not fat and did not have diabetes when she injured her spine, making it impossible to self propel a wheelchair. I don't know anyone who has the stamina to push someone as big as me around in a wheelchair. Normally I just manage to get to places in the car, and walk very short distances with sit down breaks every few yards.

Pipp

Pipp if you went round our Asda you would actually be doing an obstacle course as well. Dodging kids and trolleys left in the middle of the aisle. A bit like Lara Croft a Tomb Raider.

I'm liking the way you look at a situation and work out how to use it to increase your activity. It's making me look at things more thoughtfully.

Xxx

After the stepping yesterday my BGs went up - coincidence or cause and effect?

Just 4 hours walking around an exhibition today - might not have got the heart working much but my feet know about it!

A nice 60 minutes round trip to the supermarket in the warm sunshine to buy a couple of items we forgot from the weekly shop. Unusually I felt very tired when I got home and so slept on the sofa for an hour or so.

hehe , struggling up reigate hill is a far cry from doing 100 mile stages across the Alps id love too but..... getting fit enough for boxhill in july is enough for now

been treasure hunting across fields today in the sunshine, very tired but it was lovely we walked for 4 hours

this is the missus negotiating some cows that were guarding one of the caches lol they were lovely (and a bit scarey)

she wasnt kissing this cow she was ducking under that tree but the photo tickled me, im sure id be tickeld with her fist if she knew id posted it lol
