"A new you in 42"

10 minutes on rowing machine and three hours gardening (the digging and shovelling sort) today. Should really have been working but Mrs Sanguine suggested I have a break from it - fine but it probably means more panic and stress tomorrow.

In my spreadsheet under exercise I entered "10 min row" as shorthand - I hope in the future I don't look back and think I was having lots of arguments ...

Missed posting the last couple of days but been at the Animas spirits weekend. It has been fantastic. We have had excellent advice from Dr Ian Gallen who deals with athletes with diabetes and a number of other experts. The Animas staff have been fantastic.
We've had planned activities to try out with specialists on hand to help if needed. And excellent motivational speakers - endurance athletes with type 1.
I am now knackered. Bebo has mentioned that they are looking at running one for type 2s on insulin at some stage.
Oh and we were out running during that rainfall (2weeks worth in one hour?). Hardcore! My bum also hurts from the saddle in the spin class!

Last sessions today. Couldn't recommend this enough as I've got so much out of it I don't want to go home.

Great you enjoyed it Mrs Vimes!
It would be great if they ran one for people with Type 2 on insulin, but I don't know that there's anything in the pipeline:(
Hope you got to meet some of the TeamBG supporters too who have been bagged by Animas to be their sporting heroes.

Oh, got out on a 1hr cycle yesterday, and I'm looking to do another 2 and a half hour to three hour ride today.
Numb bum!:joyful:

feeling proud of myself, i set out early and did my first 50k on the bike, i tried to follow some of the team bg cycle route on july 6th but no idea how much of it i followed as those country roads all look alike i was completely lost most of the ride, but pleased i did a full 50k :)

i wished i had one of those numb bums bebo, mine just hurts lol no near death incidents with the pedals today yay!

the app said id burned 1800 calories but thats hard to belive, cycling is sooo much easier than running, i reckon a 1000.calories max

I sit in my garage on my exercise bike and clock up 500 in about 80 minutes , some high resistance some low.
I agree its so much easier than running.

well done. I used to cycle many years ago and it's something I hope to get back to when I've shifted a bit more weight on the indoor bike.

...I love the way we're all still exercising and haven't given up...nearly three weeks!

I know some people in here who I like
They're walking, running, even riding a bike
Cos we're determined to get
Much more healthy and yet
Hard going sometimes but we don't go on strike :D

Sorry about that lol, I'm always writing lims one of my 'things' !!

A pleasant 60 minute walk around the local nature discovery centre and along the Kennet & Avon canal. Mind you, I probably shouldn't have worn a pair of new shoes as my feet are now complaining.

Day 21...complete.
Morning getting a numb bum on my bike then "encouraged" youngest daughter to go for a walk once the rain stopped bouncing ...
I walked for 50 minutes
.slowly. .. she moaned and moaned , feet were sore , tired , not walking up a little incline ...she moaned from getting out of the car to getting back in but I don't care because she walked for 50 minutes when her usual default position , like mine is lazy couch potato. Going to drag her along for walk tomorrow too...Hopefully lol

How is the bike on the knees? My doc said it was better than walking. 5k and I begin to feel the knees a little. Thinking of getting an exercise bike in the autumn.
