Advice on Newcastle Diet for smaller women

Think of it as medicine.

8 weeks, and if nothing else your body should be reset in it's eating habits, and you're have a blank canvass to re-introduce food into.
I normally dry stir fry now, I find the moisture in the veg stops it sticking.
Or a handful of frozen veg with the fresh, provides enough ice to turn into water to cook.

Maybe I was using the wrong veg but it didn't cook and tasted of raw veg . Sorry I really don't like veg and get round it normally with lots of sauces, oils etc. Only 2 months of this but I doubt that a love of unflavoured veg will be a legacy effect but hope that seriously reduced bgl will be

I didn't do the ND and I do love veggies of all sorts, but surely there's no reason to have your veg completely unflavoured? Have a look in your Tesco, or whichever supermarket you use, in their spices section and have a look at the blends. Creole, Mesquite, Lemon Pepper and the like; just as examples - a shake of those really does add a tang. For the most part they state 0 calories per serving, but even if they had a few, it's more likely you will stick with the plan if you are enjoying your food than if you spare 10 calories a day, but go off-plan after a brief period.

Good luck with it.

Yeah I've done an ocado order today for Friday with a bit more interesting stuff in it. It's only 8 weeks. I'm not minding the shakes (dare I say it I'm kinda enjoying them as I have a sweet tooth ). The veg is the medicine that I will take once a day.

Hi Naomi

Try a low cal gravy or sauce to. We have some good ones here in aussie at just 32 calories a serve (in Onion, Beef or Chicken flavours) I used this on my veges a lot as I'm not a big veg person.
Keep it up
Cheers

I'd urge you to keep trying to find ways of making your veg delicious, because they really can provide crunch to our food we might otherwise be getting from fruit we don't eat any more.

Have you considered what your maintenance regime will be once you finish your ND spell?

I've been on a 1200 cal very low carb diet since Feb. Not found that problematic at all

Dinner was a lot better this evening had courgettini with tomatoes . Cheated with 20 Cals of garlic oil and 1 tbs of tomato purée but I weighed the veg and I was way over the 250 g required. So far this diet is pretty easy but I think that's probably coz I don't eat during the day normally and the 2 shakes are making me full so not having a big dinner is fine
