ally1,s BS levels

i feel naughty tonight
i really really fancy cheese on toast

What sort of bread have you got? How many carbs per slice - it will tell you on the packet.
I have poached eggs (2) on toast with cheese and mayo on the side, but only one slice which is 14g carbs on my bread.

have no bread but was tempted to go to the co op to buy a loaf. i decided against buying a loaf as i would gorge myself on it and its just not worth spiking my readings. i,m a bit low on food as i havn,t done a proper food shop since before christmas.
have found a tin of stew in the cupboard and have that, i know i will be spiked but not as bad as having bread

I have 7 ritz biscuits (17g carb) with brie cheese as a treat every night at the moment. 7 biscuits gives me the salt that I lack because I don't eat processed meals and 17g of carb is minimal as my tea was steak, cabbage peas and beans with lots of butter, then 2 sq dark choc with a big mug of cafetiere coffee with double cream.

The ritz biscuits are a treat at the moment as normally we have just cheese, however I am tryig to have a tad of salt n carbs of some description each day.. This suits at the moment. 7 biscuits still equates to less than 1 slice of most bread.

As I find it difficult to eat with no hunger pangs this is actually my only meal of the day.. Never rven ate my berries n cream today.. Tut tut.

Ally you are doing fab and just being anle to NOT go out and get a loaf of bread shows how much you are changing your lifestyle of eating..
I would personally still eat the cheese!!

Well done you for resisting the temptation. Have you tried the Burgen bread.? The co op sell it. Lots on here pop the loaf in the freezer and just take a slice or two out as and when they want it. It doesn't spike me if I just have one slice with melted cheese

never seen the burgen bread alliebee
may hba1c was 14% and septembers was 12.3%. no idea what that translates too

Translates exactly how it reads Ally.. They were far too high!!
Bet you they will be below 8 this time round.. May be a good bit lower...

i,m hoping the result is alot lower
tea 5.9 and 8.9. not as high as i thought considering i had tinned stew and tinned peas

You drop so nicely during the day.. It may be worth asking dsn about how to get morning levels down.
Your appointment is this week isn't it??

Hi @ally1,

Me too.... Can't wait to get your update!

Wear the same clothes as your last appt.. Make sure you take your shoes and coat off etc so that it is a true analysis of your weight compared to last time as well Ally...

Good luck...x

Hi Ally,
I haven't been following your thread for a while, but what a difference, your day time numbers are now really very good, something near to normal.

Are you still loosing the weight Ally, I know, I have plateaued for about 3 weeks now, have just started to move again. I think one of the ways to getting the fasting down is the weight loss.

Good luck on Wednesday, I'm sure your going to get some good results and you deserve then, it's not easy.......

Neil

Wait for your weigh in Ally... I don't think that you made immediate changes to your diet last May and its only in the last few months that we have seem your levels significantly drop.
The thing with weight loss though is also adding in a little exercise.... 30 mins a day would significantly help. If you are. In a house... Intentionally go up and down the stairs for 5 minutes and count how many times you do it...keep doing it everyday and try to speed up. It will start to tone leg muscles. Before you get out of bed do 5 sit ups each morning for a week.. Then the next week up it to 6 and so on till you get to 10. Its comfy in bed doing it and it takes very little time. Fab for toning up your stomach.

Its commitment to doing something every day.

Wait for your weigh in tomorrow.. And your results, but do soend a little time today thinking if how you could oossibly do 30 mins each day.

Housework is excellent exercise-lol!!xx
